I wasn't sure where to post this, but I think this is the best place.
I was contacted through my web site by a remarkable performer who ran his own medicine show for twenty years. Mark Osterman was a fanatic for authenticity and either used real antique props or hand-crafted replicas. He has been very generous in sharing stories and photos, which I have put up on my web site. There are some great bits of business for street performers in his story. Please see: http://www.memoryelixir.com/lenapeliquid/history3.html Yours, Paul |

There's some really great information there. Thanks for the heads up.
Any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile...can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction, "I served in the United States Navy." J.F.K.

It's wonderful to see someone who recognizes how much fun a Medicine Show can be. Best thoughts, John Smetana |
