I spent (part of) last night listening to Howard Zinn's talk "Stories Hollywood Never Tells." Thought-provoking and entertaining.

Kudos to you Lobo!
Zinn was an excellent popularizer of a radical reading of US history. Very interesting guy--he was a bomber pilot during WWII and he came back questioning everything he had been taught and not been taught. He wrote an autobiography called You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train. A documentary film with the same title was made some time ago: http://zinnedproject.org/materials/you-c......ain-dvd/
