Hi,
I'm 30 years old, and I live in the south of France. I decided to learn magic 7 years ago, when I saw a street magician performing the vanish handkerchief trick. He literally blew me away. I thought to myself : « How does it work ? I want to do the same ! ». I like card tricks, especially the classic ones and the variations on them. I mostly perform for friends and family. Performing in front of an audience has always been difficult for me, but the reactions are usually rewarding. I have to confess that I’ve been lurking for years and honestly, I have learned a lot from the magic Café. My hope is to go on learning and to contribute to the forums as best I can. Nice to meet you guys. |

Great to meet you too, I find myself in a similar scenario, I started performing for just family and friends (and even would blow my own mind with some effects) and then I started working in childcare and got to practise on a lot more people. Baby steps my friend and one day you can perform for a living if that is what you wish. Dare to dream, Brother!
Welcome. |

Welcome Henric,
I lurked for quite a while as well. It is way more fun to be a member and easier to get help when you can ask a question (although you can learn a lot if you know how to search). It is a wonderful feeling to be able to help someone here as well. -Mary Mowder |

Hi Henric:
Just got back from Paris, and visited the Riveria a few years ago. We love France. Can't speak French very well, but we got by. Your English is excellent. Welcome to the Café! Jim |
