Here is a little demo of a colour change of mine. Great way to produce 4 of a kind. I'm going to record a better version. This was just off the cuff while filming something else.

About 8-9 years ago I showed an early version of it to Jerry Sadowitz. He said he had never seen it before, and it it was his idea to use it as a 4 card production.
He is a very knowledgeable magician, it it was even similar to someone else's I'm sure he would say. The first version was just a single vanish and change. When I showed it to some young guys at Davenports Magic in London again they liked it and when I came back next week they had found a way to make it into 3 changes. But this used a face up deck. Like I said I then showed it to Mr Sadowitz, with his help it can now be down on a face down deck with 4 cards, which can then be fanned or thrown on the table etc. |

Sorry for assuming that the move didn't originate with you, then. We all know it's more common than the opposite

Ado that's quite alright magic brother. that's why I posted it here, to if anyone knows of a similar move. I have had quite a few people say I should release it as a download on 'The Wire' or something.
It has a few variations and applications. You can use it as a colour change, a steal of a single card or a switch of a packet of cards. This is actually done pretty sloppy here, just off hand at the end of another effect. But Ive never really filmed the 4 card version before. I thought I would use it to check if there was anything similar out there. Magicians seem to dig it and spectators react great to it. That fact the card seems to vanish and change seems to impress them, more than some other colour changes. To them it seems to negate that you just switched cards? There is a version where this is less pronounced and the card seems to change as you place your hand on the card, fingers spread. The rings I was wearing in the video, made that a little hard…. Personally I like the visual of the card vanishing and appearing. |

A fellow magcian just sent me a link to some new Ellusionist promo push on YouTube looking for new effects.
I originally was just thinking of putting on The Wire. Any opinions on this? I've bought a few fancy decks from them. But they seem to have their 'set artists' and don't really release a lot of new effects. Where Theory 11 there's always new stuff. |

It's good that you go to knowledgeable people in your part of the world.
Also you might want to check on the card section of the magic Café or other boards. That's where you might or might not find similar creative thinking. I do a not so pretty change (with known sleights to show magic is as easy as 1, 2 , 3. Using those cards instead of the aces. I am much more knowledgeable with coins than cards. Crediting does not have to be a lost art along with ethics. I liked your combining the 365 story and your routine. Nice! Harris still 2 old to know it all

Thanks Harris I'll post it in the card section see what they think. But I was more asking about Ellusionist vs Theory 11
I have been showing this to card guys for years and they always like it. Its just that bit different to most card changes. Also you can easily/smoothly do multiple changes. |
