Heading to Vegas next week to put the finishing touches on the next evolution of the Linking Finger Rings effect.
I decided, several years ago, to tackle the problems I felt were inherent in the Linking Finger Rings routines that were available.
In other words I wanted to find what everyone else had missed. The three big mistakes I saw were:
1) Slow pacing, which sucks out all the power
2) Fussing and fidgeting with the rings too much, which screams MOVE!!!!!
3) Wandering around the audience, which dilutes the focus

The Missing Link solves all those problems and more. TML takes it out of the audience and puts it on the stage, where it belongs.
Every magician I have shown this to typically cocks their head to the side and mutters....."You can't do that with the Himber Ring." Or my favorite....."Mother%#@ker!"
I'm super psyched about this one!

The look of the ring!!!! The g*****k ring that is. For us younger generation magicians the rings looked old and tacky.

Very funny Cody!

And magicjoe, no tacky, clunky rings in this one! This one is a modern mans wedding band style ring. Plain and simple and deceptive.
I just picked up the first batch of 10 from the jeweler. They look fantastic!

Very much looking forward to this. I bought Himbers original ring, nothing like the marketed version. Absolutely plain wedding band.

Would love to see this new idea, I've seen allot of ppl trying this effect and bumbling it badly. I had a magician a while ago come to one of my shows when I did it. He's seen allot and what he said about my version felt so good.

I just finished up shooting the training video with Bob Kohler in Vegas. We're looking at a release date sometime around MindVention. Around the second week of October.

Being able to perform this with a simple wedding band would be incredible. Looking forward to this.

Is the ring absolutely plain Scott, or does it have a design of some kind on it?

There is a simple design which acts as a disguise.

With the information so far available, I can't see any advantage over existing rings available (Porpers as an example) if it has a design, and it remains a stage effect. There are a couple of totally plain rings from Europe available which brings it down to parlor and in the right circumstances even close up. However, saying that, usually Scott you do have very clever handling and routine solutions for effects. I just hope the ring doesn't add too much to the overall cost.
