Hey everyone

I saw this one hand vanish at the end of one guys three fly routine. At first I was completly taken back. Then After I while I figured out the mechanics and it is ingenious.

I am not sure if I am liable to explain them or not so I wont.

Basically you flick the coin in the air it lands on your open palm up hand. You close it for a second then make a throwing action and the coin is gone. The hand is open with fingers apart and nothing in palm

All I can say is the final resting place of the coin is clipped parallel to the floor by the thrid finger.

Any idea who invented this and where to find proper instruction on it.

Thanks

Kyle

I believe you are talking about a bluff vanish where the coin ends up in Geoff Latta's nowhere palm. You may be performing Gary Kurtz's bluff vanish.

Thanks
Michael

One day I hope to buy some of your dvd's. Right now though I am just a beginer. you are probably right though as he said his routine was based on Kurtz and Wilson.

Thanks

The vanish isn't Gary's any more than the concealment is. It's the most basic use of the position, and goes back almost thirty years.

It's never been properly published.

Geoff

Geoff,

I was front and center at your lecture (WMS). Wow, lots of great stuff. I was the volunteer for your card sandwich routine. Anyway, you gave me a great psychological tip for the end of a shell coins across routine, and I just want to say thanks to you.

I've worked on your Nowhere palm, and the best way for me to get into it, is from finger palm. I pull back my third finger and pivot the coin into place. Since I've never seen you do it, I wonder what technique you use.

Looking forward to your book,

From the description you gave Kyle I initially thought it might be a Tenkai/Goshman Pinch.

Geoff, I'm happy to understand there's a book in the works ! When might it be available ?

Best regards
Daniel

Thanks Geoff, for correcting the credit. I knew Kurtz used your concealment without your permission, but I wasn't sure about the move he used.

There have been rumors about this for a couple years I think... isn't Minch supposed to publish it?

Eric,

Thanks for helping at the lecture. I get into it a number of ways, but the most common are from finger palm: rotate in into position with the thumb (good when you are supposedly holding an "invisible" coin, as in the slow-motion coin vanish) and by curling the third finger and flexing the second (you have to be a bit double-jointed for this) so that the coin is pulled into Nowhere Palm, rolling into position around the the second finger. Minor adjustments can be made with the thumb, if necessary, in a gesture.

Hope this helps,

Best,

Geoff

Yes, Stephen Minch is the publisher, if I ever get the *** thing done.

Best,

Geoff
