Hi sel,
If you are in london I would strongly suggest a visit to davenports, very friendly and you can watch demonstrations of tricks, the staff will be happy to help I am a massive fan of alakazam, peter nardi is a lovely chap, excellent service, huge catalogue and also some very nice exclusive items. I use Alakazam in the UK, great service and huge selection.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

I can highly recommend Saturn Magic for online purchases, quick turnaround and the customer service is second to none.
Ive also used freepostmagic - again online, cheap prices and, as the name suggests, free postage. Customer support again is excellent. Buying in a brick and mortar store is always going to be a better experience, a la the comments above on Davenports, but if where you live is anything like it is for me, these are, unfortunately, few and far between without relatively long travel times. |

Thank you,
I have brought from alakazam before, I have also seen magicshop, Ill check out saturn magic. I have heard of Davenports, it sounds good, I will go there! There was a local one near me in Upminster but It closed :-( They were great people running the place, I somehow stopped my magic and when I did go back it was gone! |

I'm in the states and I've ordered from Alakazam and World Magic Shop...service is good from both, and both have excellent inventories.
I stopped by Davenports last time I was in London. It's worth the trip if you're in the area, but it's tiny and not particularly well-stocked. Nice folks though.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

I used magicbox online ordering when I lived in the UK they were one of the first good at that type of thing. I have also found there customer service great. And agreta stand at Blackpool. I use these guys when back in the UK
http://www.magicbox.uk.com/ I have not been to Davenports for a year or two but it can be a hit and miss. The staff can be up them self's and rude. They also seem to struggle stocking items as simple as decks of cards. I will say I have not been there for a while and I know there has been a lot work on some of these issue. There online stuff for example. www.davenportsmagic.co.uk/ These guys are pretty good at online and face to face. Also check out there convention if in London. http://www.internationalmagic.com/ These guys are good as well. I have not used them much but know many who have. http://www.alakazam.co.uk/ Hope this helps
Enjoy your magic,
and let others enjoy it as well! |

I like to use magicshop because of their brilliant blog to go with it. I've picked up many great bits of free advice from their. I've also messaged them on facebook for advice on their products and they are very quick to respond.
Then again, I've had good experiences from all the above mentioned websites. I felt Davenports didn't have as much in stock as I hoped, especially as I'm a coin guy. But with the rise of online magic shops, they can't really compete in terms of quantity. |

If you are in London as well as Davenports there is International Magic. If you have a car you can also visit Prop Dog. Also consider www.dudethatscoolmagic.co.uk

The Merchant of Magic is pretty good. Bought a hep of stuff from them with no issue. If you order by phone they're really helpful in offering advice and suggestions.

I live in the Northwest, I notice you're in Manchester antmills. There is a shop in Bolton, they also have a website, I have found them really good to deal with.

I mostly use Merchant of Magic (magicshop.co.uk). Staff are great and of course, they have Ben Williams who does great stuff in his own right. Not always next day but I have no complaints. Have used warped magic, Darren is very nice band most helpful but I must admit, I don't like paying by paypal.
