Let's see if I'm keeping track correctly:

Fox news is a credible source of news because:

1. New York times, cnn and the washington post are not credible sources. So therefore, fox news must be a credible source.
2. This Hudsonview guy thinks the police railroaded a guy they shot in cold blood. So therefor fox news is a credible source of information.
3. there is a witness to the Fergusion robbery, just not the folks who actually got allegidly robbed. therefore fox news is a credible source of information.

Have I got that right now?

I'll say one thing for you all...you are predictable. Smile

Not even close, on my end, but fwiw, you're quite predictable, too. I'm not trying trying to prove that Fox is credible; I agree with you that Ferguson has nothing to do with that question. Here's my line of thought:

1) HudsonView thinks that a video that matches perfectly with a robbery report is not merely inconclusive but proves that there was NO robbery, moreover claiming against eyewitness testimony that the alleged robber is actually payingpaying for the items he took, a view that is absolutely not substantiated by the video; therefore
2) He is too deeply embedded in his worldview to suppose that engaging him in rational discussion will be fruitful, particularly on the subject of credible news sources.

funny..with all that direct evidence, did the shop owner or anyone working at the shop call 911 and report a robbery? I misssed it. Can you provide a statement from the shop owner that he was robbed?

As I said, circumstantial

Not that any of that has a spit to do with fox news not being a source for unbiased information.

By the way, here's an example of circumstantial evidence (which is, contrary to popular belief, often stronger than direct evidence):

1) A store employee provided a copy of the surveillance tape of the incident with Brown to the investigating officer; therefore
2) Regardless of who called the police, it's quite unlikely that the store employee told the investigating officer that there had not been a robbery.

I think they are all tainted ... But the facts remain ... Over 50 Afghan troops have melted into the USA.. Brought here by the US government and then allowed to enter our society... Are they Agents of Evil like the Afghan soldiers that have turned on US soldiers and murdered them? Is that what is going on? Are they just hiding to desert from the Army? Are they joining Terror Cells in the US?

Obviously someone must CYA because they have been doing this since 2010 and no one has stopped them. kind of like an open boarder only WE are flying them here ourselves.

So when the Government says, "Nothing to fear ..Stand down!" ... I'm wide awake!!!! Smile

So in the last 4 years the US government has flown at least 50 militarily trained Afghan troops to the USA and they have allowed them to simply walked into our country for whatever purpose they decide.

Slim,

I guess you're not aware that we routinely bring in troops from allied nations to the United States for specialized training. But why pass up a chance to do a little partisan fear mongering?

HUDSON ... remember when you said I couldn't take my son fishing for salmon and the now we find out it's the best year for fishing salmon since 1938!!!!!! Don't you ever listen to yourself ..ROTFLMAO

Factually .. FOX is the number one cable news network in America. In fact, they destroy their competition. It isn't even close.
Do I think they aren't tainted ... Of course they are ... All of them are. But in all honesty... The facts are pretty much the same no matter who you watch or listen to. It's the spin that really makes me laugh. Like when Pelosi said being unemployed was good because you had more time to make new friends and have more free time ... The fact is .. You are unemployed ..Yet the spin is..THAT'S GREAT!!!
Same with the news networks.
Fox is part of the good cop bad cop media game.

Like I said, troops from allied nations, including Afghanistan, are routinely brought to the US for specialized training. And I'm certain that Afghans aren't the only troops who have come here for training and some of them decided to leave their units and stay.

But, like I said, don't let simple facts get in the way of fear mongering.

Presently, there are three Afghan troops who skipped out of training here who's whereabouts remains unknown. My guess is that they're partying somewhere.

And I don't understand the use of the word "escaped" in the OP. Escaped from whom? Who, exactly, was holding them as prisoners?

Do you know why Cuba doesn't send amateur baseball players to competitions in the US anymore? Too many of them split as soon as they get here and "escape" into America. I imagine there are Afghans who take the same opportunity.

Not even. They were found. See the link I posted earlier:

Just read that. Yes, it looks like they were trying to sneak into Canada. The article also noted that the authorities didn't feel that they posed any threat.

So I guess they were trying to "escape into Canada?"

Just sounds like run of the mill deserters to me. If I were conscripted into the Afghan army, who knows? I might do the same thing if I was lucky enough to get sent here for training.

If you ever been to Afghanistan, you would kinda understand why the Afghan soldiers who come over here to train would desert and want to stay. No excuse for desertion but when you consider where they came from, you can kinda understand. They just want to have a better life. Soviets pretty much destroyed the country. And then all the wars that broke out afterwards after the Soviets left. And then the current war today. It's pretty much a very mountaineous and extremely poor country that has only known tragedy, hardship, poverty and war for decades. Many can't even read and live by a tribal code.

Plus there is uncertainty of what will happen after our troops leave, if our troops leave. Not sure what will happen with all that. If the Taliban take back over completely, they are sure to go after Afghans that served the Afghan government currently in power. It's a crazy situation over there. Many Afghans don't know what will happen the next day or if the current government will stay in power.

Hopefully the Taliban doesn't take back over completely. We got Bin Laden but only time will tell if Afghanistan will have a strong government that does not permit the Taliban to take back over completely. However, I imagine our Western culture would be a big culture shock for those Afghan soldiers if they were allowed to stay. There is no tribal code here in the United States that we go by and the deserting Afghan soldiers trying to follow an Afghan tribal code here in the US or Canada could get them in trouble with the law.

It also goes to show that despite our problems here in the US, things are really not as bad as some over here might think. We got it better than most parts of the world.
