Didn't we leave a reflector that can be hit with a laser and such?

Yep:

The ongoing Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment measures the distance between the Earth and the Moon using laser ranging. Lasers on Earth are aimed at retroreflectors planted on the Moon during the Apollo program (11, 14, and 15), and the time for the reflected light to return is determined.

Yea I thought I remembered something like that from college.

Which was the best The Moon Landing or The God Father?

They asked Nixon.

Why is that interesting? There are a lot of misguided people in the world who don't accept reality. It's more sad than interesting.

The elite, they are always talking about end-of-life extinction on earth, by whatever causes, disease, asteroids, whatever, or man-made catastrophes, warming and the like. Now if they were serious, then how come they haven't all gone off to the moon to save themselves, if they can do it?

Because the moon can't sustain life for a long period of time.

Yes, and there are people who claim that no planes hit the WTC Towers AND that no one actually jumped to their deaths in the resulting catastrophe.
In a word, there are a lot of loons out there and they will seize any stupid pretext to support their useless claims!

Here's a map of the landing sites, not only for the Apollo program, but also surveyor landing and Russian moon landings;

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LRO/mu......_07.html

The Chinese rover seems to have landed in an area called "The Bay of Rainbows;"

http://www.nbcnews.com/science/space/chi......11519755

Someone want to work out how far away that is from any actual landing sites and how far the rover got before breaking down?

And, for that matter, China's orbiting surveyor found traces of the moon landings anyway, so what the rover was able to see before breaking down, apparently far away from an Apollo landing site, is hardly significant;

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=0d8_1328628079

Here's a clearer map of the landing sites;

http://www.bobthealien.co.uk/moonmap.htm

According to this;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinus_Iridum

the "Bay of Rainbows" is in the Northwest Corner of Mare Imbrium. Now if you look at the map provided by "bobthealien" (and why do people have to get "cute" with their online names?) you'll see that Sinus Iridum (Bay of Rainbows) is nowhere near any Apollo landing sites. Since the Chinese Rover crapped out after a month on the surface, it's a pretty good bet it didn't get very far and was never near enough to a landing site to provide evidence one way or the other.

Either you knew ahead of time it wasn't real (which means you're just pushing everyone's buttons), or it took 20-something posts to convince you of something that could have easily been discredited right off the bat (in which case you really should brush up on your critical thinking skills). So which is it? Smile

I wasn't sure either way and I wanted a second opinion. A "Group Think" moment ... And we solved the riddle.... That's why I said .. "Can't be true can it?" or something like that.

You needed a group think session about if the moon landing was real? Seriously?

So who do you suppose put those laser reflectors there? And you are aware, are you not, that many PRIVATE industries were also involved in the moon landings, such as Boeing, Lockheed, etc., and numerous universities and private research facilities. But I guess that doesn't matter to people who don't care about facts.

The government also told us about Pearl Harbor. I guess that didn't happen either. (And Osama bin Laden is still alive and living in Las Vegas, JFK is an old quadriplegic in a secret government nursing home, J Edgar Hoover never wore a tutu and Nixon was hiding on the grassy knoll.)

Well just because the government says it does not make it untrue does it?
