Landmark- We basically agree. My main point was simply to counter the oft heard myth that the space program was and is a waste of money.

Apples and hand grenades. But fact is many have died from malaria. DDT was NOWHERE NEAR what it was portrayed to be and it was phenomenal at stopping the spread of the disease.

That is nothing like saying "Hmmm I wonder what technology would be if only we didn't go to the moon". You know this. It is no mystery and you are no fool. But obviously you have a point of view and it must be put forth. Sort of like I was saying oddly enough.
