Hi Jason,
Being the card expert you are, I would be interested to know which card tricks (or tricks in general) fooled you recently. Thank you, BM |

BM,
Very few sleight-based card effects fool me these days. Most of the time, if I'm fooled by something, it's because of a mathematical principle I either wasn't aware of or was slipped past me, or something out of the ordinary (like someone who never uses gaffs sneaking one in on me) that I didn't anticipate. The last guys to really fool me were Derek Delgaudio and Helder Guimares in Nothing to Hide. The first time I saw the show (I wound up seeing it about 7 times), I was completely fooled by several of the effects, and partially fooled by most of the others. Steve Forte also has the ability to seemingly fool me anytime he feels like it with something from his notebooks. He's unlike anyone else I've ever been around in this regard. Most of the guys that have sat with him recently will tell you the same thing. He really is on another level when it comes to certain sleights. Jason PS: Just remembered - Allan Ackerman managed to get the Open Shift (from Erdnase) past me a year or so ago during a complete card routine that he performed for me. I was thrilled and never suspected, let alone detected it.
Eternal damnation awaits anyone who questions God's unconditional love. --Bill Hicks
