A tnr from the one and only Daniel Madison! Bandages on his fingers looks suspicious imho...
RIP turns the traditional torn and restored card plot on its head. Daniel Madison has stripped away the awkward piecing together process, the strange handlings of ‘four pieces’ that no one can touch and the suspicious tearing actions often seen in other versions, and what he’s left with is a miracle… that happens in the spectator’s hands. A selected playing card is torn into four separate pieces - an action that can even be performed by the spectator. Each of the four separate pieces are placed in the spectator’s hand, before being sandwiched by their other hand. With the passing of just a second, it’s done. The spectator cautiously lifts their hand to reveal the card is now completely restored. No rips. No tape. Whole. Think TnR effects are old school? Get ready to be proven wrong. Download RIP today. http://www.ellusionist.com/rip-by-daniel-madison.html

Well his method ain't no secret now is it .
I mean otherwise, it's not a bad idea for an in the hands restoration, not at all. Just has to suite your style, like a pk ring or..I think big blind media has a release of the like. Better off learning Torched and Restored and keep the visual. |

Every TnR definitely has it's pros and cons. I was on the shoot with D on this one and the reactions were just nuts. When amazing things happen in people's hands they freak out. This reminded me of how people react to the sponge balls...while a totally different effect you get the idea.

I remember trying out the method for this back when he released his Identity pdf. I don't know what has been added into the download but I remember that making the gimmick was:
1. Dangerous 2. Required an extra purchase if you didn't have that certain utility

I downloaded this... the bandages arent necessary, there are other less suspicious solutions, that one just fits his style.
There is nothing dangerous about making the gimmick. Only watched the video so far, and the method is what you probably suspect, but he has some nice touches on the handling that should really make this play strong. |

More than his work, james, I love the man himself...he is a great human being...that is the reason to be truly thankful!

Well I don't know him Mike, and have never met him. So what should I say? Make some assumption on his character without meeting him?
I think not, James Quote: On Oct 13, 2014, insight wrote:

I liked it so much, did this to some people and the reactions of the restoration in their own hands are simply amazing.

No, do not make assumptions. But one can know the positive actions of a man and their impact without personally knowing him. And you can still be thankful for his work, as it is amazing! I am not just thankful, I am truly thankful.

Great effect!
I use a few of Daniels effects (Angle Z, Chaos, Blind) and now this! I'm at my 2 year mark of returning to magic after a 10 year break, and most recently have been at the stage where I'm pushing myself to perform on random spectators & not let any of the effects I purchase go to waste. Played around with this last Sunday around friends & got some insane reactions, no spectator suspected anything "fishy" happening. Great $7 ish download. Good job Ellusionist and Daniel Madison! - Davey Rockit |
