I've had one for years and find it very versatile. I did not care for the tri-fold boards and years ago cut them so a part could be used as a work surface across the front third of the box, the rest of the box can easily be used to store or ditch. The case can be used on a surface or can be mounted to a Eureka base. Can be used as a sidetable or work table with the top removed. Always thought of it more as a 'stand up' table rather than close up, although I have used it with a mat on top in certain situations.

Here's an alternative http://www.practical-magic.com/online-sh......e-detail
But I rarely have space on a table or floor to use a case for restaurant or walk-around magic. It really is a case ofmagic from your pockets in their hands,

The close-up case the OP referenced is one of the best and most versatile cases around. It has been used by both Standup Stage and Close-up magicians over the years.
I like that it works well for Cocktail parties, because all you have to do is place this on a card table with a table cover, and you are all set to be able to do your larger magic props like Chap cup and Cups and Balls. It is easy to place some section dividers and keep everything neat and easy to access. So mingle with the crowd, then invite them to your corner and the standing audience your miracles. It also works for stage, place on a stand, table or attach heavy duty legs and you have a nice table for your stage act. Now you can do the Rising Cards, and any trick that needs items placed down for a second. All the ones I have seen do not come with a travel cover. It is easy to have a seamstress sew one up for you. I suggest you use the pre-stitched padded material at the fabric store. Spray it with the fabric spray that repels water. |

Most dealer drop ship the Mak Magic high priced items. Contact your favorite dealer, or search for the best price on the web. Many dealers list this item. None really have any in stock, because of the ease of drop shipping.
