I personally will stay away from using the Bible as a prop in my routines.

In the book, Unexpected Impuzziblities, there is a booktest using the Bible which has a great reveal. I love it. It is called, "Stairway to Heaven."
Also, Osterlind has a slate routine, using a verse from Numbers, which again I love. Both of these use the Bible in such a way that it isn't making fun of it at all. |

I thought about a Bible Book test where I would do an effect or wanted to do an effect to illustrate some thing in the Bible - I had a Verse underlined and a book mark inserted where it was, reverse the Bible - then had someone insert a duplicate book mark in the Bible anywhere - returning to the podium or someone else, reverse to Bible so that someone, would open to 'your' verse - read it. Understand ?? a thought!! RR
