I do a little Escapology in my Act, thinking of upping it a little with something really physical.
Just wondering, especially with the full on Escapologists here, what's your weekly Workout Routine to keep in shape for your Act? Thanks...

Kristen and I belong to Anytime Fitness. They are open 24 hours a day and have over 1500 locations around the world that we can use. We train together 5 days a week plus our load in & load out which is a work in and of itself. The workout days are chest/triceps/shoulders, back biceps, legs. We try to go heavy on everything. We carry Powerblock dumbbells for the days we can't get to the gym.
Hope that helps.

I've only recently been looking at escapes but I do Boxing/circuits 3 times a week. Gives me an athletic look without looking too bulky.

For me, it's kettlebells and Wing Chun. I keep saying that I need to get back into yoga, but I've had a devil of a time working it in.

Kettle bells are heavy metal balls, smaller than a bowling ball, and with a loop handle at the top. You can use them like dumbells, but the loop lets you manuever them better and in a more dexterous manner. Wing Chun is a martial art.

It used to be a free weights gym three times a week with one session dedicated to an hour long single muscle group exercise such as armcurls or triceps or, if I was really miffed, squat lifts.
These days it is more sedate. Just a burn once a week and lots of walking. Now the real trick is kettlebell juggling. Happy New year everyone |

Sorry, Ian, for not being more clear. Cliff nailed it. Kettlebells are gaining popularity here in the US (although they've been around in Russia since the 1700s) and are very adaptable for resistance as well as cardio training for someone who wants to stay at home (and it's a lot less expensive than a full gym set).
I think I'd injure myself attempting to juggle those things...I have enough of a challenge slinging one around! Wing Chun is a Chinese martial art popularly associated with a wooden dummy and Bruce Lee.

I try to think of a wider audience than home based. I know lots of words that others may not understand but modify those to common words that most should be understand. Thank goodness Cliff played nanny again and came to the rescue. Now I am wiser but still think “kettlebells and Wing Chun.” are such tinnie words. Kung Fu is at least more woody than Wing chun.

I've been a Python fan since childhood. It's wonderful to see the occasional reference!

Ian, being a Python fan, do you going knocking on doors in office buildings looking for an argument?
