Usually it is used for sticking IT to card or coin to make it f***t because it is easy to apply and remove.

I've seen it used to prepare your own loops from IT. It helps to see the ends.

If a magician runs out of ear wax it can be used as a replacement. It is very useful in drowning out "can you make my wife disappear" and retaining sanity thereby. Seriously why do you ask?

Magician's wax with a string can be used for a flying card routine. It is fun to practice with!

My very first trip to a real brick and mortar magic shop, I bought magicians wax. I had no idea what I needed it for. But I was absolutely positive I needed it.

Caution...it's only to be used by magicians sporting mustaches.

Eureka!!! (I found a can of wax!
Sorting through one of several MURPHY boxes, I found a small can of wax that I've been lookng for, for over a month! The can is about 2" in diameter and 1/2" "thick". It's labelled: STICK-UM CANDLE ADHESIVE. In smaller type it "says" Never Hardens -- Wash off with hot soapy water It's used to help candles "stick" in candle holders. It's a soft sticky wax. It looks white in the can, but becomes "transparaent" The can holds 1 ounce. The company name is FOX RUN CRAFTSMEN IVYLAND PENNSYLVANIA 18974 U.S.A Check out specialty stores that sells decorative candles. It probably sells for $5.00 or less. There's enough in the can to "stick" a LOT of candles! I just learned of some other sources. I'll check them out and "report back".

It's used for a few different things. Usually goes along with a certain other tool (IT) that I never work with. I also bought magicians wax almost as soon as I started magic, with a very vague idea on how to use it. I have used it maybe once. I have found it not too useful for me personally. To me, I personally find alternatives on tricks calling for it. So try alternatives first before buying it and see how they work for you! That's my two cents. Also enjoy the jokes being posted.
