Last week I was in Germany and went to the BMW (Munich), Porsche & Mercedes (Stuttgart) Automotive Museums. Each was housed in cool modern building. All were fantastic. Not surprisingly it was the cars from the 40's, 50's and early 60's that I found the sexiest. If you love sheet metal and find yourself in this region, these are don't miss museums to see.

I like museums. We used to have a good little car museum right by my joint, in the science museum, but sadly they closed it down a few years ago. Actually I think moved it somewhere. There is a cool one in Italy as I recall, Farriers in class box's, like works of art.

Motown,
I am very glad for your experience.. Do you have any pics? Been a car buff for ever. The 40's, 50's and 60's were the preeminent ·years for cars both in Europe and The United States. It had to be a fantastic experience.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

Thanks, it was. It was like being a kid in the candy store. I could have spent days in each one.
Yes, I will post a few soon. I was going to put some of them on a Pinterest board. It was fun for me to see how each of these car companies evolved decade after decade. I loved seeing the race cars and how they changed over the years. I picked up a minature from each of the museums of a car I liked to have as a remembrance. Sometime in the future, I'd love to go to a couple of the Italian car museums, Alfa and Ferrari.
