I happen to have one of the most advanced weather dogs in existence. 80 pounds of incredibly accurate Boxer he is never wrong. When he comes in and he is wet, it is raining. If he has white stuff all over him it is snowing. If his fur is all disheveled it is windy and if his doesn't come back it is probably a tornado. When his fur is warm it is sunny and hot.
Yea a bad old joke BUT here is the funny part. My phone like most has a weather app. It says it is sunny. My dog comes in and like any good 80 pound dog sits on my lap. Problem is very wet he sits on me. How can this be if it is so sunny out? Turns out my weather dog is far more accurate than my up to the minute weather app. So take that technology.

When it comes to weather prediction, I'll put up my arthritic back versus your dog anyday.

Speaking of dogs- I was driving and saw a bumper sticker on back of a car that said, "NO CHAINS!" and under it was written, "Dogs Deserve Better". Needless to say- I got a great laugh. Now- I am no animal abuser by NO means- I LOVE animals as I have a dog, (2) cats, a rabbit, hermit crabs and fish. THOUGH- I do at times tie my dog outside and the leash, anyone else? Or am I just a mean dog owner?

Not having a dog on a leash is not fair to the dog. They can get killed way too easily. It is just not good. This world is not set up that way. Dogs need a leash and need to know how to walk on one. It is that simple.
I prefer a fenced enclosure to tie outs for many reasons. Any time iv trained dogs for people I recommend fenced yard. No judgment just preference. Letting dogs roam free is dangerous to everyone. Especially the dog.

Wet dog ?
Until a few years ago, I had the most lady-like Alsatian. She was the most placid cat-loving dog ever. A pure lady ! But, let her see a filthy dirty puddle - or fox cr#p and, well, you can guess the rest ! Bobby Thomson. |
