Hello everyone,
I am sure you all saw the PM we received from Steve Brooks about this great new series of decks that are all limited edition. Currently the Run (standard edition) is the only one that is available for presale to be released November 18th. Hocus Pocus is selling them at this link and there are 3 videos along with a bunch of pictures here: http://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/?p=28332 The next edition called the Heat Deck should be available for presale in the next day or so and it features Crimson and Chrome detailing. I will post the link here as soon as it is available. Jason has done an incredible job with the design of these cards. They truly express the underlying lifestyle of gamblers with tons of detail in the design of the Run Decks. They are limited quantities: the standard deck (Gamblers Green and Gold) is 15,000 and the heat deck (Crimson and Chrome) is 10,000. These are in really nice hard covers that are only available on the original runs of these cards. Preorder now to ensure yours today! I have watched and rewatched and also had the chance to watch some dealer only footage of these incredible cards. If you have any questions please let me know. Cole |

Hey guys,
Just wanted to share a picture of the upcoming Run: Heat Edition deck with you. As I'm admittedly card crazy myself this is a release I'm really looking forward to, I hope you are too! (Not sure if only registered users can see uploaded pictures or not, so in case you can't see it we've also posted it on our instagram here: http://instagram.com/murphysmagic ) |

I love the design of the green ones, and the case they come in is absolutely great- something I've heard they will stop doing. It comes with some monte cards and a Skinner style monte routine video (and another routine too). The additional gaffed cards are a real treat, and a Skinner monte is certainly worth the price of these cards alone. However, I must point out that these are not ideal cards for effects which require you to cover pips with a finger. Why was this the chosen effect? It has a relatively small pip, followed by lines of matching color that run down the card, making it difficult to cover the whole pip reliably. This is even pointed out in the routine videos. Why not choose another gaff for this set? Weird.

I love the look and feel of these cards. However, they're ridiculously overpriced and its such a shame the word 'magic' is included in the packaging AND "Murphy's Magic Playing Card Company" emblazoned across the Jokers - which I use! What will a respected spectator think of that? Well, the pedant in me anticipates, "Ah - trick cards!" And that's the deal beaker for me. But I've got a deck and will use them for, er, playing cards! Oh, and the 'secret' link on the tuck case doesn't work either.
