I am curious to know if anyone every received this book whether in soft bound or hard bound limited addition? I have not received my pre order.
I pre ordered the soft bound in Nov. and there was apparently some glitch in delivery that I found out about only after I emailed about it when it was not delivered. I made numerous email inquiries starting before Christmas. He replied twice, each one containing an apology, an excuse and each time a new promised shipping date. The last one at the latest on 1-16….I have still not received promised confirmation of shipping after a couple of more inquiries. This is an expensive book and Ulises Galeano is a new mentalism writer with few creds. A guy writes the “complete book” of pendulums, puts his heart and soul into it and then simply ignores his commitment to a buyer and keeps the money…what sort of mind set is that for someone trying to make their way in the mentalism world? It seems like if anyone bought this book you might have seen at least one post with an opinion of like or dislike after all this time, other than two posts from preview copies. |

Ok, add another one to the "learned" column. Although, it is only the second time I pre ordered anything and there needs to be a reason to do it...like limited supply. In this case, no reason. I just wanted it and succumbed to my lizard brain.

If he were a proven quantity, i.e., a name with a track record like Michael Murray, that would be a completely different kettle of fish. Sorry for those who have apparently been burned. Preston |

I agree, it is sad. We like to think of the magic community as having upstanding values and an "elbow nudge" type camaraderie...much like any group of folks that have a special interest that brings them together. Of course, people are just people and when it comes down to it they behave on all levels of integrity. Lack of ethics is not the worst crime in the world, but it does kind of bust out your day when you rely on someone to give you what they promised and they just take your money and give you a silent raspberry.
