Hi Dick and Bill!
Rather than hijack another thread, let's start fresh. I just purchased a DWB online. Never had an original before. About 20- 25 years ago, I used to sell an Indian made knock off at Hollywood Magic with a routine that I thought at the time was fresh: basically it was a 6 card repeat done with silks. I now know that it wasn't very original at all.. Still, I managed to sell over a dozen in one day and with a slew of silks to go with them! I never bought one for myself, as working in a magic shop allowed me to work out my 'dream routines'...while getting paid for it. So recently, I saw one and thought it would be fun to play with again...and has the virtue of not taking up much space. I'm like Dick: less is more...much MORE! I also wondered in the back of my mind , if it would be possible to 'sell' this to a modern audience. Bill and I have been in touch regarding the making of a torpedo load for this device and he's been most helpful... (If anyone out there has one...i'm INTERESTED!) Interesting to know Dick that you consider the SHERMs to be better (wasn't SHERMS based in BRIDGEPORT, CT ?). If I have any problem with loose screws (other than my own)...maybe a little Loctite will do the trick. I have some crazy ideas about maximizing the load, which I will share ...if they prove to be of value after experimenting a bit. Any thoughts? J.Neal |

Sherms was in Bridgeport, CT..
Blackstone Sr. did a routine about different color of dresses and producing silks the same color. I have some tooling for the Sledghill demon wonder box. Not something I plan on making but interesting to look at. As with most things the prop is everything. I have some photos someplace about the different styles. Richard

Richard, I knew sooner or later, you would chime in on this one! Your thoughts an expertise is always welcomed.
Perhaps you could post them somewhere so we might look at them? I'd love to see a pic of your mini haunted chimneys as well. Is the gimmick and tubes the same type of seamless aluminum...with the tolerances being as accurate? (no rattling?) J.Neal |

The mini haunted chimneys are very nice and as well made as the others.
I can't remember where the stuff is for the hank boxes.
