Hey, I've been delving further into using quarters for entertaining on the spot for friends/family and heck of course even strangers and was looking at f****ERS and OXf in quarter sizes. Is it worth the extra cost to get the gimmicks made in those sizes? I hear it's much harder to use as well. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks again.

I have a full Triception set in US Quarters (as well as a set in Walkker halves) by Mark Mason ( basically the same as an OFX) . They work great for close up, top quality although I do find the halves easier to use ie /] holds open better but that may jus be due to using the Walker more and it being better broke in. (They both use the same inner workings)
Although I say the halves are easier to handle, the quarters are not impossible. It just takes a little difference in how they are held in my case.

Yosh,
Thouogh I mostly use half dollars, and the occasional routine with dollar coins, I also like to work with quarters on occasion. Usually when I can borrow some from a spectator on the spur of the moment. It can make the magic become more "real" for them, especially if it is someone who is a little suspicious of us magi and suspects we may be using props. However in most cases I use only the quarters and sleight of hand. That really cinches the magic for them! Sometimes, though, I will use a gaffed quarter to really blow them away. In those cases I use almost exclusively quarter shells and C/S coins. Though I did own a quarter flipper I have never used it while performing - and I don’t recommend it. I found it difficult to work with. Personally I wouldn’t go to the expense of having a quarter OxF set made. It'll be expensive and I think you will do much better sticking with sleight of hand for the most part, with some occasional shell and/or C/S work switched in. Jim |

@Proof-Daddy and J-Mac
Thanks for the suggestions the both of you. I'll stick with C/S and Shell for my smaller coins.
