The last purchase of 2014, today, was a comb in very poor condition.
Ok, it's a 7th century Merovingian ivory comb known to have magical properties. |

As this year is winding down, I wanted to offer sincere thanks to those who elected ESPoe, Spirits of the Dead, and/or ENOCH to share the ranks with some of their favorite bits of bizarre in 2014. Truly humbling and gratifying to be on the list with such amazing creations like Dopps, Inferno, and Kadar/Zoltar. Thank you.
This was the year that I got off the sidelines and really immersed myself in bizarre theater and dark storytelling. What a trip. I was honored to collaborate, contribute, and learn so much from the community. Many thanks to me fellow Spookies and Crypt-Keepers. See you 'round the headstones. Perkins

I posted this over on the main trick of the year thread. But, since most of those guys are playing with spongeballs, I doubt they will understand what a great year 2014 was.
Inferno by Bobby Hasbun - If you want to know why, check out the Inferno thread over in spooky (After numerous attempts, I was unable to create a link. It's worth your time to go look for it.) If you don't want to read the full thread, read Weepinwil's review he posted yesterday (middle of page 7). Even if you're not a bizarre performer, you will find a time and place for Inferno (and when you perform this powerful routine, you may find yourself being pulled deeper into bizarre magic). You really need to have this one in your arsenal. The Knowing Game by Steve Peebles - Yes, I had the honor of introducing this effect. (Again, I was unable to create a link, and...again, it's worth your time to go look for it.) Sorry, you missed this one. (Except you lucky 23) I bet none of the lucky 23 will ever part with their game on the second-hand market. I'd suggest: Read the thread, contact Steve, and see if he will sell his own personal copy. Maybe, if you catch him when his bills are due, you may be able to talk him out of his game? Doppelganger by Prof BC (Shakes and Dickens) - What more can I say? If you don't know about Prof BC's Doppleganger by now, I don't want to be the one to tell you about the four beautiful editions you have already missed. You can get the latest one here: http://www.lebanoncircle.co.uk/collectio......as-carol (Finally, a link that worked) Just buy it. But...don't look back at the previous sold out editions. Don't torture yourself. Look ahead to the several new editions soon to be released. What a great bizarre 2014. Here's hoping 2015 is even more bizarre (is that possible?) |

I think my best purchase was from a woman who couldn't afford the funeral for her husband. Since I have a couple sources for body parts I agreed to do it for an arm and a leg. Since it was open casket I could choose either leg, since they don't show anyway, but was limited to the left arm.

Higley's 'MUMMY'S DILEMMA'
The effect he provides is so simple and relates to a Poe story as well as the Universal films. Plus the cards are great, I also use them for Mummy Monte (a Color Monte effect). Tony |

I still can't decide, there are too many... Seriously how do you pick just 3?
Number one rule of ring club is we don't talk about the ring (or I would vote for it so that's one down)... But isn't it epic!!! I wish there was more talk in ring club... You know who you are, now get it there and show some love
