My nominee for the one of the best blogs to come down the pike in recent years. (For magicians and non-magicians alike.)

Oh Landmark - although I knew I'd heard the name, I never put two and two together because I think of you as, well... Landmark. Smile

As a frustratee with a computer loaded with unfinished writings I particularly enjoyed your musings on authorship.

* and I thought your thanks to Bob indicated gratitude for pointing you in the direction of some writing you enjoyed. I feel pretty silly now. Smile

There is some talent amongst us - Bob himself is a fine writer because he is a great story teller, and this post alerted me to something I intend reading when I have some time free - the sample is certainly promising. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=32

Yes, I listened to Tony's clip as well, and it sounded fascinating.

My post today on my blog concerns Richard Kaufman. I think you may enjoy reading it:

Nice article. But what I want to know is what your findings were about the elephant who apparently paints self portraits.

Is it just me, or is there a nod to Simon Lovell in there? The details are left to the [other] reader[s].

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

Simon does a lot to be self-effacing in performance. One important strategy which I didn't mention in the essay is the use of self-deprecating humor as a means to make the triumph of the will less overbearing.

Ah, no, that was a direct quote from Gerry Deutsch's Genii post.

Wow. Time flies. It's the one-year anniversary of my blog. I had no idea I would still be doing this at this point. Much thanks and gratitude for the support.

Today, as a marker, I put together a list of my 30 under-the-radar favorite posts:

I look forward to the email summary of Jack's blog every day. He even inspired me to start my own blog, but I'm nowhere near as diligent.

Congratulations on your one-year achievement, Jack!

I just came across this and there are some very good pieces on here. I loved the one about old books. Struck a chord with me. I will be reading more. Thanks, Jack.
