I've heard about it, and read a little bit about it on http://www.schoolforscoundrels.com but I was wondering if anyone can point me to a source to look up?
I'm heading to the magic shop this weekend and was wondering if anyone had some titles of books I might find the 'Endless chain' under. Thanks in advance, |

Whit Haydn and Chef Anton's _Fast and Loose_ is the definitive resource on the subject. Their bibliography contains other references you *might* be able to find at a large magic library.

Most routines come with chain. I do not know of a book or DVD only on this one topic, except Greorge Blake manuscript/book sold and published by Mickey Hades Publications in Canada.
http://www.trickster.com/welcome.html The last one I purchased is Doc Wayne presents the Chump Chain, complete with patter, tape, chain, bag. Bill |

James,
I would like to add that the chain is available from hardware stores, Ball pull chain chrome plated, don't forget to get a connector. Over the years I have tried several different types of chain but the ball bearing pull chain is the best. I purchased jewelery gold chain and it does not work as well. Supeme Magic published a Lewis Ganson "Know How Series" booklet this came with chain also. Also, I believe the title of George Blake book is Loopy Loop. Bill |

Curt is right; get the School for Scoundrels book, video, and chain. I have George Blake's Loopy Loop book and it is one of the sources credited in Whit Haydn's comprehensive book.
A ball chain is not optimal because it rolls too much after you throw it, and it is easier for the players to stare at it and figure out the pattern. Pictures at: http://www.memoryelixir.com/summer2003/busker/busking1.html Yours, Paul |

Johny Thompson also has a routine on his Classics of Magic DVD's. Not sure which vol. it is on.
I think Whit Hayden's booklet & video are the best. Get the School For Schoundrels chain also, it is the best. |

Check out Mark Desouzza's Chain Gang in addition to Whit Hayden. You can never go wrong with Whit though.

Wow, thanks fellas.
I think I'll get the video from sfs.com. They defiantly seem like the authority about cons. Bill, thanks on the info about what chain to use, I'll be checking out the hardware store this weekend. |
