With a little noodling and some Tetris action, you can create scores for the Tommy Wonder fold. The cuts will not go into the white border so it's a win.
One time, when I was young, I botched a sleight so bad, Vernon, Marlo & Miller rolled over in their graves. But I didn't see Elmsley, probably because he was behind the others.

Just found out about this today.
ToaTV review, cleared up some questions I had about how you control the depth of the cut. You can cut split cards too? SOLD! I just hope my local magic shop has it stock. |

Hi folks, I've done my best to read the comments, but I apologize if this was asked:
Can you do an ACR after the scores have been made, considering many DL's rely on rigidity and snap? And, can you score into 8ths ala Tommy Wonder Card fold? Looks like only quarters or sixths. Thanks in advance, guys. |

Hi Guys,
I regularly do an ambitious card routine with a scored card and don't find it a problem. The fact that the second card is 'solid' takes some of the pressure off the scored card. It should be fine and I hope others who do it can back it up. Someone else mentioned being able to do Tommy's fold into eighths but I don't know the mechanics of the fold so can't comment on it. All I know is that the Perfect Score template is designed for scoring into quarters and sixths. If there is a way to do eights, I'd also love to know how! Jon

The scored card(s) is more fragile than a regular card so it could affect certain sleights or handlings.
Generally, it's not a problem but it does take a little getting used to because it can begin to fold when you're not even trying to. I'm a little leery of a spectator handling the card prior to the fold but I know others have done it very successfully. So practice with it until you become comfortable with being gentle with it while not appearing to be. |

Did I miss something here? You can also split cards with this?

GOOD NEWS!
A shipment of Perfect Scores has just been picked up and is winging its way to Penguin Magic. These are the new style ones which have a hole in the middle of the template. This means you can just push the card out making it much easier. They should arrive late next week. After that, it's up to Penguin as to when they are available to buy.

Paragon 3D thread here:
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......t=120#25 Im going to order this (Perfect Score) for sure!!! No lazy, but SMART! Man, reading this thread (the start), is like watching the real housewives of ____________. Come on guys! We are a bunch of dudes (and yes, a few ladies) that enjoy, love, interested in magic and come on here to hang out. Do you guys do this crap in person when hanging out? Geez!! Anyways, back to Sportsnet.... LOL For those that think it's lazy and this is a bad idea.....Guess what? You don't have to buy it! Isn't that freaking AWESOME that we live in a world where we that enjoy magic at ANY level, are FREE to choose what we can and can't buy? EVEN if this is a failure (Clearly is NOT a failure, as MANY have bought and use it), then so what? We need people like Jon to keep the magic flowing. If we were all to agree that all effects, moves, DL's hav already been invented and used over and over... so we need to stop re-releasign things.. B O R I N G!!!! Jon is a major PLUS to the magic community. Is he trying to make money? DUH!! Yes, but he also ENJOYS releasing, and helping us!!! He is a BROTHER in magic that I will continue to watch, support and even contact him from time to time for advice, questions. Thanks Jon and I am glad that you released this and even more excited that you mentioned this on your Paragon 3D DVD!!!! I am getting this and can't wait to watch some SPORTS and drink beer (Not a wine cooler) while I practice.... Mike |
