Hey guys (and girls).
About a year ago I went to a Mike Caveny lecture (he was great) at Barry's Magic in Wheaton, MD. Mike performed and sold his Linking Coat Hanger effect. I really understood what he meant when he said that when laymen see a linking ring effect they say "you know, that's a really good trick that those magicians do," as opposed to seeing the linking ring effect done with coat hangers (everyday objects) and saying "wow, that's a great magician!" What he was saying is that this way the performer looks like a star, rather than the trick looking like the star. Sooo...I was wondering if anyone would care to share their experiences with this trick, and, being on the unfortunate side of ignorance, I'd like to know if this trick (or the linking rings in general) are instantly re-settable. Thanks. Mike
Why doesn't it tickle when I tickle myself, but it still hurts when I stick a fork in my eye?
