I don't recommend effects very often but if you are a performer this is definitely worth looking into. Predicting how a spectator arranges a Mr. Potato Head toy seems so cool. I will definitely be using elements of this method next time I perform.
Ad Copy "I'll make a prediction: This iconic toy will become an iconic trick." -Gregory Wilson "I'm fooled! Very cool concept that works great for stand-up magic. As a solo performer, I love this." -Justin Flom "Ingenious and practical. The method is well constructed and totally under the radar. You've hit a home run!" -Reza There are over 360,000 different possible combinations in which you can construct a Mr. Potato Head. That means if you had a Mr. Potato Head for every different possible configuration and set them side by side they could encompass the entire island of Manhattan in New York. MPH is a trick where you have your audience member arrange a Mr. Potato Head into any order and configuration they want, and out of over 360,000 different possible combinations you predict the exact outcome. -Use it for close up and stage -Full professional script -Nothing written down -No stooges or instant stooges -No assistants -No switches -No forces -No pre-show work.

Fun idea. I just don't know if people will buy the fact that it's SO impossible (although true)

Really wish we could see the actually selection process. Because it's completely hidden and almost ignored, I assume that it will be limiting. "Okay I want you to pick up a PINK body part." Etc.
I hope this isn't the case |

Wow! $45 for a download. Would make a great Christmas show addition if it were worth it. Interested in hearing from others who purchase.

This intrigues me too, but $45 for a download..no props included. Would be interested in folks who have purchased this effect.

This is worth $45 and more.
Solid, fun, engaging routine an real worker (for the stage) So many possibilities with this concept it certainly has my mind working over time thinking of ways to expand. The download is great quality which you expect from Penguin, lets be fair they are the top of the pops when it comes to the instant download. Joshua is a great teacher, thanks for releasing your work. I will be working on this, I have a few touches which I've already written down too. lets not talk or speculate about the selection process, I'm glad it wasn't covered in the trailer. No stooges are used. oh and you get REAL world footage. If you are in two minds about the price of $45 then you probably need to have a think about whats being offered here. This is a real world stand up performance piece. for $45 FOURTY FIVE BUCKS. ps you will need to buy other items and prep. nothing major and well worth the pay off. If you perform on stage you will see the potential. personally I wont be using the close up version, to risky for me. I hope this helps |

I have a group party coming up. Can I have audience members call out to me where to put pieces on so it engages the group? Not fishing for secrets, just practical application limitations

Is there any Dual Reality involved ? I would love to see the routine and the selection process !

Got it, it's clever.
It's a VERY simple method, nothing revolutionary at all, but I like it. I think it's one of those tricks that you can setup in a matter of 20 minutes if you lose your suitcase or something, that's how I'd use it. It is dual reality based, but not exactly. they both get the same effect and experience the same thing. If you are wondering, they truly can put the pieces however they'd like, no apparent influence on your side. |

I am concerned by the comment from TheTableTopTrixta that he finds the close-up version too risky.
I presume that a different selection process is needed/recommended for a smaller audience. My question is: At what audience size does the stage version of the selection process become unusable?

I bought the download yesterday. It's a solid effect with a prediction they will pick the Mr. Potato Head and a prediction of the way they will arrange it.
I'll be implementing this effect in the near future, as I lecture to medical professionals, and this can be used with jokes about anatomy and physiology. The video is well produced. The method is straight forward and fun. Jonathon1000: The stage version is sound with with 10 or more people, but does not require 10 people for it. The stage version could be performed for one person, but for impact I'd say at least 10 more. |

I agree with all above. Well shot, explained, and worth the money. Pocket version is good too.

To me the idea screams comedy, which I want - but the writeup, the video, and reviews don't mention comedy and everyone seems to be tied up in the reveal. Can anyone speak to this?

I'm disappointed that it does not live up to its trailer, but it does stimulate my creativity.

I'm sorry, but when the reveal which is shown in the trailer is not taught, that is a MAJOR fail and needs to be known!
This makes me feel even stronger about my endorsements mean nothing premise. |

Do they teach the pick a movie, pick a toy, and they wind up with Indiana Jones and Mr. Potato Head?
