Go gently into that goodnight, Ed. Ever so gently. :'(
Wonder is very necessary in life. When we're little kids, we're filled with wonder for the world - it's fascinating and miraculous. A lot of people lose that. They become cynical and jaded, especially in modern day society. Magic renews that wonder.

More than once Ed had brought a bolt of laughter, joy or mystery to my life at a time I was low and/or out. Corresponding over the years on magic and music, as well as the music of life -- we never met face to face but I consider him one close friend that helped me (and apparently many ) along his wizards ways.

Adrian Deery and I gave Ed an award at one of the past ICBM gatherings it was a LNT (Living National Treasure)award, I still hold this to be true, for what he has given us, and for the moments he has left with us, may the coach arrive to take him to the table of elders and may he speak of us fondly there

Where I live, we celebrate people's lives with a big party and a parade. It's a great contrast to other places, where everyone focuses on the depressing side of it all. When they shuffle off this mortal coil, we celebrate the happiness they brought us, and let the heavens know they've got a real winner headed their way.
I say cheers to a life lived better than many, and a guy who is truly great. We should celebrate the fact that someone like this has graced our dreary world with his presence for this long. I've never known him personally, only known of him, and it's sad for me to think that I'll never really have the chance now. But I'd rather be grateful that he chose to be a part of our world and our arts, and is such a fine and outstanding human being, besides. But yeah, I'm still sad, too.
'Tis an ill wind that blows no minds.

Thank you for letting us know, Vlad. We are richer to have known Ed Solomon! His passing diminishes us all, as he will be sorely missed her in this mortal sphere.
Peace be with you, Ed Solomon! May your beautiful Journey to the Next World be gentle and may you re-unite with your beloved wife and all of those who have crossed over before us. We will remember your stories, your kindness, and your genius. Enjoy this Great Mystery and dance to your new sunrise, my friend!

I was one of the fortunate ones to have had the opportunity to not only witness Ed's magic but more importantly I had the opportunity to learn from him the time we spent together is priceless. Ed was not only one of the finest story tellers ever but also a wonderful creative force in magic. His legacy will live on he will truly be missed.
