More curious to see what he charges. What is indeed telling and interesting is exactly how many gigs Looch seems to do according to his public facebook page.

You then make a fake enquiry via my website, looking to book me to entertain your guests at a non existing wedding in Derby. You forget to realise that upon replying back to me questioning my prices that your actual real name comes up in my inbox. I explain that it is a waste of my time, unprofessional and if you wanted advice, simply come to me and ask. You hold your hands up and apologise. Now, you want to try and speak negatively about my product, which you don't own, and question my integrity by attempting to cast doubt over the number of bookings I have. You are beginning to look like a bitter, stalking, unprofessional.

People who argue about the price and complain that books are too high priced must be incredible bad at selling their show to the best possible price. This is business. If Looch can charge a high price for his books, he can`t put a lower price tag on them just because some fellow mentalist feel it is way over their budget. If you can`t afford them, or you feel it is too expensive, just don`t buy them. Simple as that.
I don`t know Looch, and never talked too him, but I can honestly say that these books are the best investment I have done this year. Many excellent routines, performance tips and marketing tips. And I like that he gives a honest explanation on a routine there has been much fuzz about. I know others may have been tempted to give a sudo-explanation too keep the secret and mystery for them selves. And making fake enquiry is very bad ethic SolidSnake (David Cellend), and I am surprised and a bit sad people can behave like this in our community. |

I can understand people complaining about 1 effect ebooks for $100 but Looch is selling the last 10 years of creative output in a 2 volume edition set. Seems to be priced about right to me.

Up to me if I want to complain about the price of a book really. And in reply to Looch, I never implied you didn't have enough bookings. Common practice for professionals in any industry to check value of competition. Not sure what you have to hide.

My final say on the matter Wayne Bolsover. I personally have no problem with you and have enjoyed some of your output. However, being scared of some criticism is unprofessional.
You put this product on the market and chose your price. It is therefore prudent of any potential buyer to check your claims before making such a hefty purchase. I should be nothing more than a potential customer to you. You should therefore act accordingly. Anyway you have made your feelings clear. Only those who actually purchase the book can have any criticism of it. I'll take note for future purchases.

What claims are you checking by making false enquiries to my website, posing as a client?
I love criticism, When its constructive and well thought out, not from someone who seems to enjoy stalking me, pretends to be a client, copies a friend of mines 'advert copy' word for word and attempts to use it to promote his own website, and complains about the price of a book he has had no insight into.

Oh dear...a snake has been caught out...
What a snidey little character he must be to do all that... Where's the professional courtesy? Mutual respect? Why all the behind people's back stuff? Very poor and cheap behaviour...

I'm an amateur performer, and I brought the Black Project (second hand I have to say) and I am very, very pleased I did. The material contained within is quality and real pleasure to learn.

Boy, this has become one annoying thread! To support the matter: I also am an amateur magician, I bought my copy from Looch (310/400) and I can say only the best about the experience. These are two lovely books, I will use one of the routines in my December shows. They are well written which is a joy and contain a wide variety in content. Will these books pay for themselves? I don't know, for me probably not too soon, simply because I don't have these kinds of gigs.
Doing business with Looch is was a great experience. I bought the books on a Friday and had them in Germany the following Tuesday! Are they worth their price? I would offer a comparison: I took Skype training from a well-known british mentalist. The price-tag was about the same. For me the value is comparable in scope and intensity. It's not a one-on-one personal thing, obviously, but like said training and the notes coming with it, I am sure to return to these books often and will take a while to digest its contents fully. |

So, can a professional or hobbyist only buy the classics? What about those of us who already have the classics and would like to investigate other works? Is there nothing of value in any new releases? Obviously there are classic works that every mentalists should have and study but this cliché and snobbish attitude that looks down on anyone who buys anything other than the classics is silly. |
