I have a bunch of Torengos Tortillia Chip containers (from sitting at the computer reading the Magic Cafe). They are similar in size to a Pringles Can but are triangular in shape and made of plastic. There has to be an effect in them somewhere.

If it helps, you can definitely do the paddle move with them. But of course, that's not a trick. I'm just throwing ideas here.

Most odd shaped gimmick will be under suspicion by the audience.

If you can't find any practical uses for working it into a new illusion. I suggest using it as a diversion for tricks where the outcome becomes OBVIOUS to the audience that the gimmick has absolutely nothing to do with the mechanics of the illusion. It misleads them into expecting a result that might actually rely on a triangular shaped container.

HMMMMM! I hadn't thought of that.

I'm building a couple into traps for my tabletop. They hold expandable loads very well.
