As you may know, last year I ran a few collaborative competitions, aiming to get our collective brain-gussets all sticky and moist with creative juices. I was consistently blown away by the standard of entries and I really enjoyed the process, so I'm doing it all again!

To catch a flavour of previous contests, please check here:

And here:

The format:
I suggest a theme. Entrants send me a routine, an effect, a work of art, a script, a poem or a story inspired by that theme. I compile all the entries in a beautiful PDF. Every entrant receives a copy of the PDF as a reward for taking part. The only way to receive this PDF is to submit an idea. All of the entrants this time will also receive a physical prize. One entrant will receive something extra. This person is deemed to have "won" and can perform their preferred victory dance.

The theme:

The theme this time is secret societies. What could be a more perfect theme for a bizarre presentation? The arcane knowledge, the occult rites, the magickal rituals, the rumours of mind control, the awesome godlike power exercised from the shadows, the nifty aprons...

Please submit a creation taking this theme in any direction you see fit. Any effect, presentation, story or other creation will be considered.

The rules:
Send entries to totalcult[AT]gmail[DOT]com
Subject Line: "Secret Society"
Closing date for sending entries: 12 noon, GMT, January 29th. ( http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/uk/greenwich-city )

Judging:
Like the entry requirements for the inner circles of the Illuminati, my criteria for picking "winners" are secret, arcane and completely arbitrary. Like cod, I move in mysterious ways. However, previous contests have taught me that there is no prize I can bestow that will match the brilliance of the PDF - that's where the gold lies, in the ideas you guys share. So there are no losers, because everyone gets the top prize, the PDF.

Any questions? Please post below!

I hope I will manage to add to this. This is my topic.
Unfortunately I have not much experience with magic, so I must fall back to an essay or general information about some secret society.
Do you also take photos and or other pictures?

Yes, absolutely! Any media or creations considered! An essay and photos would be just the ticket!

I'm on it ! I hope that I'll get closer to "the standard of entries" cause I have to fight, if not against the difficulties of such an exercice, against my English level ! I have 2 weeks to pass the TOEFL test ! Smile ( The Occult Entry For Lost souls)
