I don't want to give anything away to those who do not own this, so I'll ask it this way: I'm worried that when you take the card out of the envelope that spectators might see something they're not supposed to see. There really isn't a way to stop this from happening except holding the envelope right up against your chest when pulling the card out, which just screams odd. How do I overcome this potential issue?

This won't work easily in walk about where the are standing next to you as it may looking strange as you say, so best not to use it in that situation.

I see what you mean now, but the answer I gave applies as well, it's not much to worry about you just have to control the angle and place the card on the envelope when you remove it.
Sorry I misread thinking you were talking about removing the envelope from the wallet.

I'm also not talking about angles, I'm talking about them possibly seeing something while the card is out of the envelope for a second before being placed in front of the envelope.

That is what I was talking about, just be aware of your angles and where you are.
If you just hold the card up in the air yes you are most likely going to show something but knowing what the issue is should be enough for you to prevent it happening. Taking the card out horizontally is worst case, but I've always done it infront of me, you don't need to hold it close necessarily it depends on the angles etc, its not a difficult thing to deal with. PM sent as its not right to explain properly here.

Be aware of strong lighting from the back, is what I say. understand how strong or weak light makes things look so you know in performance. this is a severe weakness of the effect compared to on the mark.

It's a huge issue in my opinion, as well as the size of the wallet. It barely fits in my jacket pocket and so I can't really keep it there since it's difficult to put in and take out...

I've done this now quite a few times live with no problems.
Every trick has its ups and downs because it's not real magic, the downs in this are very easy to cope with and not huge issues its just the way it works, be aware and work with it. If you are wearing a normal suit jacket this should fit easily unless you are very small. I can't make you like this but I genuinely say this is one of the best things we have had in in quite a while, we get lots of magic in that I use every now and then, but this I am now using in every show.

Don't get me wrong, I love this and can't wait to use it in my stage work (I have a whole routine ready for it). I just think it's a shame that I can't even keep it in my jacket (yes I am thin but the wallet is still huge) and I wish I didn't have to worry about lighting. These are the prices you pay when you try and have every card in one wallet.

I sold mine, too many issues compare to on the mark.

I have it and really like it, it is well thought out. On stage I wouldn't worry, you can block light with your body while you put the card onto the envelope. And I wouldn't put the wallet in your jacket, use the back pocket of your trousers. I am slim (some would say skinny ) and have no problems.
BTW, I have done many versions, including Bang On, KK, On the Mark, my own versions and combinations of Inferno and OTM/Bang On (you find it here if you search in the Café), but Lynx is really good and very practicable. Jan

The wallet I carry every day is actually bigger than this with all my cards cash etc in, but then you won't carry this as your every day wallet.
They explain how this is made and how it looks thinner than it is and it does in performance. Huge is not a fair word to use, its the size or a normal hip wallet loaded with everyday stuff, but does look thinner than it is in use. As you say you love this, its a great prop but something has to give if you want this effect in 1 wallet, what has given is easily overcome and is not a major issue, well not for me anyway.

I also think it is not a real issue but I would like to help.
I love Marc Oberons Bang On Display of having the card stuck in your breast pocket. It looks good, is practical and you have free hands. One little addition from myself: if you put something in your pocket beforehand you can casually show everything later on. But it is not necessary. For me the most important thing is to really believe and act like there is just one card. I don't want to sound preceptive with this. This is what I liked about Marc Oberons Bang on the most. His lightning speed of pulling the card out combined with his "yes I knew you would pick my card - face". brilliant just brilliant. pure confidence |

Another thing I would like to share.
This is something which not only applies to playing cards here and offers a lot of possibilities (& space). If you want to make your wallet thinner -> you can do it. You can use just two (i suggest slightly bigger ones) envelopes. |

Jan: The wallet not fitting in my jacket pocket won't be a problem as I have a way around it but it would have been nice to fit in there is all. I'm definitely not keeping it in my back pocket as it's too thick and to me looks ridiculous. It's why I never even carry a wallet!
Mark: I'm not talking about the thickness of the wallet, I'm talking about its size. It's width and height. The thickness is not what's preventing it from fitting in my jacket pocket, it's that the actual sides of the wallet that are too long. The wallet is a good thickness but is quite large in size. As I believe I've said before, the lighting issue isn't going to stop me from using this. ArtIn: How would you use only two envelopes? |

Product description : This is the new « Bang On » from Mark Oberon, which allows you to produce any named card from an enveloppe that has been in your wallet and this wallet has been « checked » by the spectators. (notice the « », they are here for a reason).
Price and where to buy it : This is sold at $99.95 and you can find it in nearly every Murphys partner as well as on the website of the creators (http://lynx-magic.com/) What you get : You get a nicely made wallet which includes 2 principles that have been in the wallet magic area for quite a while. But let me say this is the only wallet that has so many of these (those who have it will understand) which makes it a very useful prop, not only for the « named card » plot but as well for any routines that requires such things. The leather is high quality, not far from the JOL (which is, for me, the best leather you can find) and should last a lifetime. Cards and enveloppes are provided, both have been specialy designed so the whole thing stay very thin even packed. Teaser : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOSlUu7_pNs The pros and the cons : Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end. THE CONS : - The wallet does not have that many space left, which could be a problem for people wanting using it as their real wallet. It has 4 slots for credit cards, a zipped compartment where you can store coins and a bill compartment, large enough to hold almost any currency. You have to be aware of this, to be honest, I started using it as my real wallet and it's quite fine, I store in it : Powerball 60, 4 credit cards, my driving licence (which is huge here in France) and my ID Card. The wallet is a little bit bulky but there is nothing noticeable. - For now, you're only limited with cards. Well, you're not in fact but if you want to have the possibility of doing a 52 outs revelations, it will be difficult. BUT you can totally use the wallet for tricks like Heirloom for example, KK and so on. If they produce some pictures that would have the same properties as the cards provided, this would be awesome and open a new world of routines. - The instructions are well shot but not the best I have seen. You get what you need to know but I would have liked a little bit more advices and presentation tip. - Be careful, in the add copy, it is written that spectator can « examine » the wallet. If you think they can check the wallet from every side, well, they can't. But I think they wanted to mean « They can check the compartment where the enveloppe is » which they completly can ! So yes, it's a matter of what does « examinable » mean. THE PROS : - You only have to setup once, which will be a 20 minutes preparation but after, it's almost instant reset, it's a matter of putting back the enveloppe into the wallet and you're ready to blow some minds again. - No hard memory work has to be done, after a few performances, you will have all the informations needed in mind without any hesitations. This is very cool because I don't like having to remember a lot of things. - The leather is high quality as I said and you get a quality product, you're not disappointed at all when you receive the package, the price is totally justified. You feel that everything has been thought of so that the trick is just very simple to do, to understand from a spectator point of view and works as supposed. - It opens up a new world of possibilities since the wallet is very generous in terms of.. Well, I can't say it there but you have a lot more space that you may think of - Spectators can check the compartment where the enveloppe is at the beginning since there is only ONE enveloppe in view and nothing more in this compartment. This really sells the trick since people are not aware of gimmicked wallet and for them, there is only one enveloppe. You have only ONE wallet that is on the table since the beginning and as far as I'm aware of, this is the only version where you can take out any named card from a wallet that has been on the table the whole time. Overall rating : I really enjoyed this product, I find it to be a very strong piece of magic and the reactions you will get from it will be, I'm sure, awesome. I give it, without any hesitation, a 4/4 hearts and a big recommandation from me. As for the skill level, it's very easy to do, 2/5 stars ! Similar products : There is of course Kolossal Killer, Heirloom, On The Mark and Bang On. All those products are very good, I recommend you to check them out.
