A friend of mine(not Daniel as I don't know him) has this( I know it ain't been released yet, but he has it cos he knows Daniel).
Saw it today and said to him, " I thought that was a new magicians wallet you had been getting at 1st but I see it isn't" He said, " it is" Well got to say it looks like an ordinary wallet( I even missed the out to lunch until he pointed it out). Won't be getting it as I have many (too many) wallets. However, if I didn't, I would definately buy it as it does a lot & most importantly it just looks like an everyday wallet. Thanks to Tony for guiding me through the creation process and making this a reality! Cheers for the feedback Mike. I have an inkling which of my advanced testers you may have seen, and he seems quite chuffed with it. I'll look forward to his thoughts once he's had some time with it. Review copies have gone out to Murphys to distribute too so hopefully we will see some initial impressions from them. Just in case anyone was following my thread in Inner Thoughts back in December - this is that wallet. It is released with the blessing of Docc Hilford (due to similarities with his Serpent Wallet), and I received permission from Paul Alberstat to teach the Jack Dean peeks on the DVD. It's on pre-order and will be at Blackpool on the MagicWorld stand. So support your local dealer and come and say hi at Blackpool!

I have owned a SAW and I see the differences as:
- with SAW I couldn't put my money in it like a wallet (you know - not flapping about), - this money compartment can then be used like a shogun wallet (it has 2 chambers from the same opening for switches) - I couldn't carry the credit cards etc I would usually carry (maybe 4 at a push in a SAW - I carry 7+ in Cerberus) - SAW OTL uses leather and so stretches over time. This uses elastic with an extra something to stop movement of the bit you don't want to move - With SAW I could only index a few things and they had to be folded. The index can hold 8 business cards unfolded for easy retrieval. I realise that this looks like I'm bashing the SAW. I'm certainly not, as it has been the pinnacle of peek wallets for years, and rightly so. But to my mind it has never been a wallet - it's a business card case. And that wasn't what I needed. So I would say that it has a greater carrying capacity for normal stuff (I generally prefered the F1 Nitro to the SAW anyway but again couldn't carry money like a normal wallet), and it has a few features not offered in the SAW (billet switching with the wallet chambers). If the SAW works for you then super. Certainly not trying to convert anyone. But if anyone out there still has a wallet fetish, well....

I received a sample for myself and as Daniel says previously... the size and capacity is brilliant.
I was fed up with oversized magic wallets and even though I'm not a hardcore mentalist I have already found a few great uses for this wallet. Come and see us on the MagicWorld stand... Hi Jared. Certainly can help with the dimensions.
When closed I make it roughly 100mm top to bottom (about 4"), around 85mm wide (about 3.25") and when jammed full of credit cards and business cards mine is around 20mm thick (around 0.75"). When empty it is probably around 10mm at the most. When opened fully the wallet spans about 265mm (10.5") I don't know if that conveys the size difference sufficiently, but I think it feels significantly smaller than the larger 5"+ wallets.

Definately going to buy this. I like my JOL Jaks wallet but the fact it has no slots for cards or cash makes it look a little bit suspicous, although I've never been called on it (magician guilt?)
RE: internal and external peek system.. I take it that means whether the jaks window gets folded into the wallet or is left on the outside? Or is there another peek included that's different from the jaks one? |

Hi Chamberlain. No extra peek section (had plans but again was overkill and bulked the wallet out too much).
Exactly as your current Jaks wallet. So the peek depends on the fold whether it's an 'Innie' or an 'Outie' Peek. (Just like belly buttons 
I think I go through 3-4 different peeks (with permission). Standard internal, then a few variations on the external folded peeks such as the Jack Dean 'Paddle/Turnover/Peek' thing from 'Replication'. If you haven't already then definitely check out Dr Bob's 'Slate Killers' on Penguin. He goes through some nice Jaks handlings that are Cerberus-compatible!

I actually like that music! But then again there is no accounting for my tastes...
What was it you wanted to see? There isn't really much of history of showing too much in wallet adverts (other than the actual wallet). Most show you a clip of the wallet while they are peeking at something. At 33 secs on the Murphys version of the video you see me remove a billet from the hot section. Anything put in there can be peeked (classic Jaks). The camouflage is the fact it is your ID on the other side of the panel when it's not in use. Also anything outside the closed wallet can be retrieved through this section. (That prediction was loaded like a Mercury folded card could be). At 39 secs you see the Jack Dean version of the external peek as the wallet is put on the table. At 55 secs (the pack shot) you see the central OTL section, and the index is hidden in a compartment behind the visible money. (Money won't stick out like that, it's just for the picture) There will be an extra explanation video on Murphys for dealers so that they can see all the features and be in a position to answer any questions, but I don't have a suitable way of doing the same for buyers without massive exposure.
