If you make roses out of napkins, you might find this interesting.

Just downloaded this and if you are into napkin roses this is a must. Clear instruction and a good quality video. This rose will take a bit longer to make but not much. I haven't tried to make one yet but once you have made a couple it should take about maybe acouple of mminutes, maybe less, but the end result is so much better its worth it IMO.
For the price its a steal, and the ladies will love it .

Just a quick note to those wondering how long it takes to make one, I am at the stage now where I don't need to keep referring to the video. I can now make one in just over a minute. They really are the best looking roses.

Added this Gem to my order of Misbehavin' from www.lostartsmagic.com and am very happy with this badly under-priced (yes you read that correctly) video. I currently own the Michael Mode DVD and a good supply of his Pro Napkins (they make wonderful roses by the way) but combining this detail with easy to find and inexpensive Dollar Store napkins. WOW, I will be very busy between now and July prepping these babies for my Son's wedding. Maybe add a few Mode Roses with Hershey Kisses (I will still use both styles) This however looks VERY realistic (for a napkin rose) Well Done.

Thanks Poof-Daddy,
Since the late 80's when I first learned how to make them, I wanted then to look more realistic. People have added little nuances here and there, but no one has gone back from scratch and re-engineered it. I decided to go back to square one, and for a long time I kept trying to make it with a single whole sheet. I could never figure out how to do it, and then it dawned on me that it didn't have to be a single sheet. Once I had that revelation, The Saint-Exupéry Rose began to take shape. And, you're right, people would pay $9.99 for this design, so it is a steal priced at where it is. |
