I always like the guy, although am having trouble with some that has happened of late. Tortured soul, perhaps?

That notwithstanding, why must we always find a "culprit"? What is the true definition of "accident"? I try to be a safe driver, but have had a couple of occasions where I had to go into the berm due to someone who stopped way too fast for me to react...

If they stopped way too fast for you to react, you were following close.

I’ve often wondered what happens in the big car pile ups where everyone rear ends each other.
Is everybody at fault or does each insurance company call it a no fault thing?

I heard a really bad, tasteless, insensitive joke about the crash. Dare I repeat it here?

Only if they'd been in Germany. We don't do dashboard cams here the way they do there, but maybe we should.

I saw one that really was NOT the fault of anyone actually in the crash. They showed a film of a sports car weaving in and out of the traffic, cutting off the other cars. After the sports car was out of the frame, all the car drivers reacted a second late and ran into each other trying to avoid the car that was already gone.

Most of the time, everyone involved will be held at a percentage of the fault. Of course anyone involved that has money, will get beat up worse in civil court later.

No - we are all good, tasteful and sensitive - however we will all laugh if you send it via PM. Smile

That's true some of the time, if you're in a comparative negligence state, as opposed to a contributory negligence jurisdiction. The statement that they will go after the one with the most money isn't correct, though, since the amount of insurance available is not admissible at trial because it's irrelevant to the issue of negligence. (It does, however, play a significant role in settlement negotiations.)

Balducci - I'll answer your PM publicly to build the intrigue Smile

I laughed MAO - but I'm afraid some, particularly in the US, now describe that word, incorrectly in my opinion, as a hate word and you would be crucified.

But, it is bloody funny.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!

Funnier than I expected! I think that would be safe to post here. I thought it would be a joke about a clean driving record then turning into a woman and crashing. Yours was better.

Very funny, Balducci. I vote for keeping the joke a PM secret. It'll be our little Club of Rome eh, Tommy?
