The BIG news is that Spider-Man is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Spider-Ma......685.html Some of you may not be aware that Marvel sold the movie rights to Spiderman, X-Men, and Fantastic Four some time ago to Sony Pictures and 20th Century Fox. Back in 2008, Marvel released their first movie under their own production company, Iron Man. Back then, the conventional wisdom was that Marvel had sold their top properties off and that they wouldn't be able to be successful with their remaining 'tier 2' heroes. Since then, the MCU has become the second highest-grossing film franchise and the highest-grossing film franchise in the United States. (Soon to become the highest-grossing film franchise as it continues to release new movies. Harry Potter was in the #1 position.) I think this new deal will bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Universe but will allow Sony to produce Spider-Man movies within the Marvel Universe, (possibly with a lot of Marvel creative control). The first Marvel movie that it is rumored that Spider-Man will appear in will be Captain America: Civil War which will be released in May of 2016. This is exciting news for us Marvel Movie fans. |

I'd also like to see the Fantastic Four follow suit, if only so we can see a Hulk vs. Thing battle royale (or grudge match).
