Has anyone purchased this effect? I just did, and was wondering what kind of reaction you are getting? how much you had to practice? and what has been your experience on angles? I am going to go home tonight and try it out, any tips on performance and difficulties you have had would be a great start for me ... Thanks
Oh, as for the trick, if it goes over as well in real life as it did on the video it is a real kicker!!! Love it so far.. Tom

I did it for my wife after only practicing it once, she was sitting on the couch and I got busted...make sure whoever is watching it is standing up...and only for 5 or so people at a time...there's my two cents

I have it but i wouldn't use it on the street. The angles stink (But are better than the Balducci) But the set up is worse than both the Balducci and Zero gravity.
The only thing this levitation has going for it is, it is compleatly impromptu, but you need a coat. Me? I'll stick with Zero Gravity and the Balducci. Which for my money are both better levitations. My two cents, Best, Dan- "MT is one of the reasons we started this board! I think everyone should give this levitation the credit it deserves...The thinking behind it is wonderful, and it looks AMAZING when performed properly...Most of the people I've heard speak of this have complained that they're unable to make it look good an hour after learning it....Give it the time, and practice it deserves!

I figured out how to do the King Rising, on a Sunday afternoon, because I was bored. It;s not THAT hard to figure out. IT is NOT the balducci, it uses no props or gimmicks. The only option is..... If you cant get this you disgust me. I am thirteen and have figured it out. If you just put 2 and 2 together you get 4! I'm just trying to save you guys money on a levitation that is not as good as the balducci, ghost jump, andruzzi, and zero gravity

I like the illusion and own the video. Since the balducci has been EXPOSED in my area, I feel that my only alternative is this one. It is pretty darn good in my opinion.
I figured it out too but purchased it to see how to get into that weired position. Oh, JoshL, I have never heard of Ghost Jump or Andruzzi. What are they and where can I get them? |

Hi,
re posts above about working it out. Even if you work it out from the video. as indeed I did with king rising, Torched and restored and to be honest most demo's I see. You are still stealing if you perform it and have not bought it (I purchased both of the above) Phillip |

Actually I figured it out, and showed it to one of my magic friends (I thought I made it up), he said that, "HEY! That's the King Rising!" SO technically, I didn't steal it.
Tylergrey: Ghost jump-Effect: The magician says he'll try a very special jump. Then he suddenly raises as in a jump, but he floats in midair long enough to mystify everyone. People can even see under his feet, even on the street, and they will swear they saw the magician float more than a foot off the floor! Andruzzi Ascending-Effect: The magician floats about 3 inches off the ground with spectators in front and behind him. Ask about the Ghost Jump in your local magic shop. And with the Andruzzi Ascending, i'm not that sure, where you find it... If you really want to know wht it is, send me an email describing your magic history and such, so I can be sure youre a magician, and I'll send it to you. joshua0309@hotmail.com |

Listen everyone Kings Rising is a great effect and for the guy that said he figured it out thats great but dont go off and tell everyone because it is a copywrited effect. Yes I have used it on the street and yes it is a good levitation but i also believe Balducci is more impromtu than Kings and I dont like Zero Gravity or Andruzzis Ascending at all. But the three I like the best is Kings Rising, Balducci and my new lev title up-rise self levitation which I have created using a method that reguires so set no extra things you have to do. But all in all Kings does work on the street.
sincerely, kyle |

i can't figure out king rising. all i know is the guy's sneakers look awfully funny to me. also there's a wierd shadow but i got nothing from it either.
i thought you had to wear a coat to perform king rising but the video clip does not show the performer in a coat at all.

That is because you don't need a coat, it just makes it easier and you throw it aside during the levitation but you set up behind it and in the clip it did not show the set up!
illusionist13579 Your levitation sounds cool do they sell it or are you the only one who knows about it I would love to hear more about it (not the secret) like do you use a cover and what not! I still try to levitate |

re;
"Since the balducci has been EXPOSED in my area, I" Is this because of all the teenagers running around trying it out on people after practicing it once or not watching their angles? The Balducci Levitation has been around decades, but it is only since it appeared on video people are dismissive of it or it has become "exposed". I wonder why this is? Paul. |

Hi,
whilst this tip is not really for impromtu performances, if you perform Kings Rising in a cardboard box which has a large front and back cut out, then the angles are covered. Phillip |

Cool Idea p.b.
I think that Kings Rising is not too impromptu as it is anyway...I often find that I am not wearing the right type of shoes...the right type of pants... I dont have a jacket with me... and so on. If I perform KR it is because I had planned on performing it before hand... I will have to try that cardboard box thing out Thanks a lot! Tom
