Noone,

I would refer you to the posting guidelines for the boards as they pertain to revealing secrets.

If, however, you would like information on what sources are great for beginning coin magicians, I'm sure you'll get plenty useful information. There a lot of great books and videos out there.

If you are beginning in coin magic, I would reccomend Bobo's Modern Coin magic. It's very widely available and not very expensive.

If you are just in the board, to learn a quick trick and disappear afterwards, I think you are at the wrong place.
You have to have at least 50 posts to get in the secret sessions part of the board, and even then it's not sure, you will find all secrets you want.

But if you are serious about coin magic, I second Bobo's modern coin magic.

Also to run along side the Great Bobo's modern coin magic book check out Complete Introduction to Coin Magic DVD by Michael Ammar.
Great DVD!
With These 2 Learning Tools you be set for a very long time.
Good Luck.

Just curious Noone. How long have you been into Magic?
You'll find the Magic Café' to be an excellent place for help and advice in all area's of Magic and its presentation. I have recieved alot of help from alot of people here but the giving out of secrets is not the real purpose of the Café'. To ask for help with something that you already know but are having difficulty with or asking what or where the best sources are for further learning is more in the spirit of what the Café' is all about.
You are new to the Café and I suspect new to Magic as well. We all welcome you and sincerely hope that the Café can help you on your long (lifetime) journey down the sometimes smooth and many times rough road of Magical learning. As you learn from us, we also learn from you. The magical road of learning is a two way street. As knowledge is shared with each of us, we too should pay that debt back by sharing what we can with each other.
Welcome to the Magic Café' Noone, hope to hear more from you in the future.

Welcome! I think any beginner trick that could be explained in a paragraph wouldn't be that interesting and you would be disappointed. The effect wouldn't be astonishing and the spectator's reaction would be lukewarm if you're lucky.

If you really want to do an amazing trick at a beginner level, then I highly recommend Scotch and Soda which you will need to purchase.

I also recommend Gadabout Coins Revisited by Ron Bauer which you can find at thinklikeaconjurer.com. This is more of a beginner/intermediate level trick, but with a lot of practice, you will have an excellent routine.

Both require a lot of practice to ensure you get the routine including the handling and patter correct, but you will have a nice effect as a result. Unfortunately and fortunately, good magic, the magic that we all want to use to astonish, does not come easy and requires more practice than you can imagine. If you're serious about learning coin magic, then check into Modern Coin Magic or Ammar's DVDs as was mentioned earlier.
