Mr Lorayne,
in magic there are a few approaches to handling failures. How about your ways in your memory demos? (I'm sure it must have happened at least once, even to one of the foremost experts ) Do you joke it off? And how in that case? Do you immediately pass on to the next thing, pretending it hardly happened? Or what do you do/say? And what if it's one of those days when things just ain't workin' and much more mess up in the performance? Sincerest thanks /Matias |

Matias/121: Sorry, it won't be an interesting topic. I don't know how to tell you this, but when I do my memory work there is no such thing as messing up. I've talked about this before. The only thing that may happen is I "forget" a name. Yes, I have ways of getting around it. But, this is not like doing magic. There's no such thing as "messing up." If one person's name doesn't come to me when I'm doing my opening thing of remembering everyone's name, I'll ask for the first letter of his or her name. By that time, it does come to me. And, assuming it doesn't. I ask for his name and say that I'll remember it for the rest of the evening. Meanwhile, I've remembered, say, 399 other names. The standing ovation is still there. There is no such thing as messing up. Don't know how else to answer you. HARRY.

Tielie: Obviously you don't know me or my writing. The whole point, the reason my books on memory are best seller is that I don't use any big words or ANY "science talk." I'm RESULT ORIENTED. I teach people to remember. I don't believe in Pie In the Sky baloney. Of ourse it's for the "ordinary public." I have one year of high school, so I can't overwhelm anyone with psychobabble. Please. HARRY.
