Hi guys, I just find something very funny and clever to perform created by my friend Ben Harris!
If you want to pay the bill with your mind (yes no kidding...) check this out! http://www.lybrary.com/checkout-chi-pay-......472.html :) You and a buddy from work, let's call him Bill, are finishing up a few plates of burgers and fries at Rodriguez's. The beers were cool and refreshing, the salsa a dream. Heading out, Ci Ci welcomes you at the checkout - she's tallying the bill. "Multi-tasking..." you say, trying to be witty. "That's $40 neat, amigo," she says. You begin tapping down your pockets, looking for your wallet. "Cash or charge?" She appends. "Got your wallet, Bill?" You ask. "Dude, it's in the car," he says. "Well, Ci Ci, here's what we'll have to do..." you say. "Add the tip, rounding the bill up to an even $50.00, will you." "Thanks. Done. Cash or charge?" she insists. Unable to locate your wallet or obtain any help from Bill, you say: "Not cash, Ci Ci. Not charge, Ci Ci. But Chi, Ci Ci." Placing your hands to your temples, rubbing gentle circles, you concentrate, quietly staring at the charge-card scanner. After a few seconds - and to everyone's surprise and hushed tones - it comes to life indicating TRANSACTION IN PROGRESS. Then, after a few more seconds the read-out changes to read APPROVED. The cash register spits out a receipt. Ci Ci hands this to you, shaking her head in disbelief. Of course, Bill and the onlookers are a-gasp. "I'll get it next time," he insists, shaking his head. "Yeah, yeah, yeah," you mutter, having heard that before.

Thanks, Luca.
Yes, it's true. Ben Harris has taken some time out from his writing duties--novels and non-fiction botany--to fully document and teach this demonstration of "slaying technology." Check Out Chi firmly establishes the PERFORMER as the master over technology in a feat that is truly astonishing, seemingly off handed, and AHEAD OF IT'S TIME! We'll be purchasing a banner next week, so as to advertise the effect ethically here at The Café. Until then, you can find a full description at either: www.wowbound.com www.lybrary.com Keep astounding! The WowBound Team Click here to view attached image.

The lybrary.com page mentions new technology! Looks like it could be fun to do.

The method takes ADVANTAGE of latest technology, it does NOT require you to invest in any new hi tech tools. Don't want you to be scared off. No further $$ outlay is required on your part. In fact, you probably already have everything you need for the impromptu version.

How reliable is this? Curious if you can time the transaction precisely.

I am going to guess you better have a cell phone and a credit card... Possibly some expensive fruit.

I love technology. When Ben sent this to me I was immediately taken by the idea. Very clever concept. BTW, you do NOT need a phone or an app.

Will it work in Spain, tech stuff seems a bit behind the rest of the world, specially on this island.

And if my thinking is on the right lines on this latest in technology, I fear the system is not in place everywhere in the world. Way back in 2002, when I was in Hong Kong, this similar kind of technology has been prevalent (provided my guess is on the right lines) while other advanced countries lacked making use of the technology including the US. I wonder if this works on a credit card machine in which they take the card from you and swipe it themselves? Or do you need it to be where the system is in front of you and the performer does the swiping? If you can pull this off in which the cashier swipes the card themselves and you go nowhere near the c c machine then this technology allows you to pull off a miracle. I'll tell my wife that I'll do the food shopping from now on.

Good thing it's not a pre-order item from Ben.
Remember the whole Anesthesia fiasco, I sure do. Still waiting on THAT product ( and or a refund, but multiple emails with zero response from Ben or his office manager proved to be fruitless) |
