(previous thread got deleted for going a bit of topic so here it is again for those that are interested in the effect)

Couple days ago I chatted to Morgan Strebler on skype and he taught me his new method to stop the spectators pulse.
Since than I had a chance to try it out so I can (without trying to overhype it ) state that it is definitely practical and really easy to do.
Works every time, there's no suggestion, hypnosis, gimmicks or anything like that. You just ask the person to check their pulse and count the beats out loud, at any point you decide ,they will stop feeling the pulse and have no idea how that's possible. (Morgan says he fooled doctors with it)

Really great closer to any pulse control demonstration.

Note: So there's no confusion, this can not be done over skype to a lay person (you have to be with them) but you can check how the effect feels on yourself before you try it.
Reader discretion is advised.

Love this kind of effect! As my first wife will attest too. I miss her.

Thanks for reposting it, Michael.

Can you stop your own puls too with a specator proofing it with this method?

This is very clever. It's not often that an update of an old effect is as dramatic as this one.

Highly recommended.

Has Morgan decided how he's going to release it?

Hopefully, it is free for all after the ice cold fiasco.

Mike

Technically you could, Morgan should be releasing his full pulse stop routine with this as the closer.

In the full routine I start with a pulse stop on myself. Then I have them sign a nondisclosure before I stop their pulse. This adds a HUGE convincer, and the script is VERY erie.

It will most likely be a DVD with my entire act. It will also have the nondisclosure as a PDF on the DVD. That really inhances the routine and makes it very believable.

Yes, the nondisclosure is a genius addition.

However it's also all of the subtleties and convincers that Morgan has added that make this version of the pulse stop the best there is.

My advice, get it as soon as you can.

So the subject knows how it is done, thus the non-disclosure?

Not a nondisclosure more a legal form keeping you protected from liabilty if something where to "quote" occur.

Ah, yes. That would be a liability protection agreement, or some such term. Not a non-disclosure. Had me confused there, for a minute. You might want to search out the correct term for your customers and audience. Thanks for clarifying.

I love this effect, I had this guy crying cause I made him imagine a certain moment in his life, and when his pulse stopped, he literally took a big breath and started to cry cause he remembered his mother, very strong, thumbs up on this one.
