I do recognize of course that this is a forum that is frequented by a lot of magicians from the USA and Canada, but maybe I can dare to ask a "German" question: I am looking for a ring for ring-and-rope-routines that would be heavy (steel or brass), about 6 to 8 centimeters in diameter, preferably welded and polished (so no seams are visible). What do I search for in German hardware stores? I tried to ask for "steel rings", "brass rings", I tried to google for something like that and of course I get a billion results - just not anything I would be happy with.
What do I need to look/search for? |

Scuba gear and harness rings are good choices.
These are for scuba use. http://www.reefscuba.com/brass_rings.htm You may like the 2" or 3" rings. I use the 3" and it is beautiful. Heavy and absolutely seamless I have a 3" harness ring (also beautiful and seamless) but it was bought in an Amish blacksmith's shop. The Amish don't have much of an internet presence LOL. I'm sure there are German Scuba Divers and maybe Historical re-enacting Villages of some sort? I also use a 1 3/8 " (@ 3.5 CM) for ring and ribbon. They are not quite as flawless as the 3" ring but the best I've ever found. If you end up using reef order enough for your friends. The postage seems high and ordering more than one at a time is a savings. I wouldn't worry about the quality. I hope you find a local source. Best of luck. -Mary Mowder |

Vinny - any chance you would have more of the 4- ring set made again? There is a gap in the market on quality rings for the Ninga Ring routine.
Thanks! Hudson |
