He had put his name against the product so he did have a vested interest. Thanks for clarifying. Now let's get back to speculating whether Mint is the best destination box (with a lower case D and B).

I don't think spectators will ever notice; in fact I know they wont; it's not an issue at all in my opinion.

Agreed. Steve is definitely one of the good guys and I've never even met him. Hopefully the discussion will turn to what appears to be a very clever tool and in my opinion; the most organic card/billet/note to clear box to date. I really cannot wait to get this delivered to me.

I called Owen today to thank him and to apologise for the escalation.
He dealt with this in a way that I doubt many others would so I tip my proverbial hat to him.

Jon Allen, you're a class act mate. Jon, Owen and Steve have put any issues to bed, perhaps the thread can now continue in a more positive context

Is there a performance demo of this effect available? as the trailer doesn't show an actual performance.

Wow....as I read through this thread I was going to say "please call each other and work this out! We don't care!, I will even set up a group Skype session for everyone"
So thank you both for finally resolving it. And I would love to see a demo. Anyone had any use of theirs yet? I'm interested in how much can your spec look at it after? And how easy is it to have a dollar bill instead of a card? Do I need to buy something additional to do this? Thanks! Respectfully Mike Newman |

Hey Mike,
the spec can handle the empty box as much as they want at the start, and also during the tip up, tic tacs can fall out. all this adds to the illusion. spec can see the box empty at the end, but of course cant handle it. given the other strengtheners I do not see this a problem. If the spectator thinks they want to check the box, then the perofrmance and delivery has failed, it is a mint box, nothing more, nothing less. MagicDamo, I think we may put a performance video up at some point soon. It's very clean, there is nothing to hide, I perform this a lot live and the reactions are great, its a closing piece. |

How is this different from what Shin Lim has come up with?
He demos and explains how to make his verison in his At The Table Lecture. Here is a quick performance from the trailer of his lecture: https://youtu.be/qJ3nuA7fPBY?t=28s |

Well after watching Shin Lim's performance if MINT looks as good as that performance ,well I am in and perhaps a double wammy may be to do Mark Bendal's kick back, tic tac routine with the same box?,and after all with shim lim you have all that aweful DIY so with this you are ready to go,well hopefully?.

Saw this at my local shop today... as suspected, its the same method as Shin's box.
Very cool though. |

I work Shin's tic tac gimmick when I stroll and it is great. The DIY is nothing compared to his other releases, takes 2 minutes max. The pros with Shin's is that it looks like a real Tic Tac box and the DIY aspect (very minor) helps you understand the gimmick and also, the gaff will last you forever. Mint looks like an awesome project and seeing as the method is the same, you could buy Shin's lecture, make up the gimmick and then watch the demo for mint (as the changes and switches are self explanatory when you know the method). Also, the lecture is ten dollars less. Just my two cents worth, not dissing the Mint project at all.
