Why is this effect so expensive? Does anyone have it? What did you think of it? Was it worth it?

I can't remember if I read it on mylovelyassistant.com or not but there was at least one bad review on it. However, I would get it if it's as good as it looks. Have you seen the video demo of it yet? If not pm me and I'll try to remember where I downloaded it from. Maybe Penguin.

Tor Egil, I suggest that you go to http://www.seanbogunia.com and check out the video on his site. In my humble opinion, Windowmation is the most amazing card through window effect that I have ever seen. There are so many things that you can do with this effect. Your imagination is your only limit. If you have the money you should really give a lot of thought about buying this effect.

Are there any angle problems? Can it be done on any window, and then I mean any window. Is the gimmick durable?

The expense is due to the fact that it's remote contolled and completely under your control. You can make the card appear visibly any time you want to.
It's awesome! Mike

WindoMation is kind of pricey. That is only because it is pricey to make WindoMation. It is a complex piece of electronics that gives you the ability to perform this effect on almost any window that does not have a screen, DAY OR NIGHT!
On all I the stuff I sell if you do not like it send it back in 7 days and I will give you your money back!!! If you pay $375 for a magic trick and you don't like it, you should get your money back. I wish all magic was like that. That's one of the reasons why I started my company. I looked on myassistant.com and WindoMation has not been reviewed on this site. |

I have it and love it!!!
It is only limited to your imagination! Sean's a great guy, I called and ordered his Hanks and we ended up talking for about an hour. He has some great stories! Thanks for the great products Sean!

I worry about the practicality of these types of effects. I have no doubt it looks great. But how fast is the set-up? Is it simple or complicated? Is there a tear down? Or can you just rip the card off the other side of the window and move on, nothing left behind?
Basically I want to know if I could be just about anywhere and at any time under real world conditions pull it off and be left clean. Because let's face it. After an effect like this, people are going to be looking good and hard at the window.

I'll take a crack at this. It's been discussed elseware on this board too. You can search "Windowmation" and find a few discussions.
The set up only takes a minute and it's done before the performance. For example lets say your performing a show (OR walk around) at 6pm. Before you go into the place you set up. You have the remote on your so when you'r ready to perform you go to the place you're set up. Push the button and the card is on the window. The question about them going outside to get the card. That's the great thing about Windowmation. There's no need to go outside and get the card because you magically bring it back in. At the end of the effect there is no card on the window for them to go outside and get. This is what makes it the best card trhough window available as far as I'm conserned. Hope that helps. I have a question. Which is better. JOHN KENNEDYS card thru window or windomation. Someone who has both version can you please answer. These are both costly effects and I do want the best version of card thru window on the market. Cost is not a problem for me. I have read every post concerning these two effects on the Café, But everyone seems to have one and not the other. Also I do not care about the set-up so you can leave that out. THANK YOU!!! 'PIZ'
Thanks everyone for assisting me on my decision!! I ordered John Kennedy's CTW + Dave Forrest CTW. I had more then enough doe for "Windomation", I just feel these two fit my style a little better (more audience participation with both, set-up does not bother me). Any thoughts my friends, for those who own any of these versions?? Thanks!! P.S.-Will be purchasing "Windomation" soon, will let all know my thought on all CTW's ( I'm on a roll, lol!! ). Paul |

Well, Sean sure has a nice version. I am no manufacturer of apparatus, but there one of few things I made was a CTW. I experimented and came up with a cheap and fairly clever method. Since this is not a for sale item and is my version , I will indulge on it some. The remote I have controls a spring motion that is attached to a very transparent and extremely clear strip of material that is attached to the card you want to appear on the outside. The one I made is like a flap or trap door concept (best I can describe. When the remote is pressed, the spring is released and catapults the card (attached to the transparent material)sideways and against the glass window. It happens too fast for the eye to catch. The downfall is with my version is that you can't make the card appear in the center of window. It attaches on a sold surface obscured from view (like the wall of beneath window sill, etc). I have to look at Sean's version again, but from what I recall, he does not allow the card to penetrate in the middle of the window or even close to it either. The strip can only be a max length. FYI, the remote will also retract the strip from the card (leaving only the card taped to window with no trace of knowhow seen). I am working on a vid to post soon. I hope this is not upsetting to those that I reveal my method. I have never purchased a CTW before and know of no other magician's version. What I reveal is to help those who wish to go somewhere with this. PM me if you want details. Magically yours, JimmyD

How clean is windowmation?
I'm concerned with the clean up afterwards. If you allow the spectator to go behind the window and retrieve his card, will they see the mechanism? If they can, then I suppose the only solution is to retrieve the card yourself (which may or may NOT detract from the magical experience, I guess). I've thought long and hard about purchasing Windowmation, but this is one burning question that is deterring me. |

Evikshin, have you even watched the demo or read a description?
The major selling point of windowmation is the card is vanished as well so you can either simply leave it vanished or pretend to have it come back through the window.... that way the spectator has no urge to go outside and retrieve it. your missing half of the effect if you just leave it out there |

You should not see any gimmicks at all. It would be expected that a spectator would be right up on the glass to see that it really is on the other side. Otherwise, that would be very disappointing to release a CTW that could not do such. The gimmicks are extremely simple to make. I do not think Sean would sell if it was detectable. You should ask him. I agree, the price is heavy for something that can be accomplished with $20.00 in parts and labor. You just want the best off the bat. Call him and ask. You can PM me and I will share what I can share to help your decision. Magically yours, JimmyD

Pros: The cleanest CTW available
set up is easy You're always in control can be done day or night Cons: Specs cant go outside (they will see the device They cant retrieve the card themselves. Card cant be signed (torn corner method will work though) Need to work on timing a wee bit or a certain something might flash Extremely pricey. That being said, if you want the best CTW (and I ought to know I own quiet a few) then window mation is the way to go. The cons are shared by nearly all ctws. For a cheaper alternative check out David Forrests CTW . It is a different effect (a visual penetration ater than a flash appearance) Regards Mac |

Welp, I just purchased "WindowMation" , and I have the biggest feeling that I will love it!!!! I already own JK Card Thru Window, and also Dave Forest CTW, but I feel there is just a little to much "With both versions" to work with. I am more of a formal magician. I love my JK CTW and also my DF CTW (I have killed with both, when combined), but I do feel that "WindowMation" will give me the freedom I need. Does Any-body who owns "Windomation" have any thought on the product or success with it??? I will be receiving my "WindowMation" in the next 3-4 days, just wondering if all who own it still like it and perform with it on a regular basis??? Thanks!
P.S. Will be giving a full blown review once received (it would have saved me a *** good $300 dollars if someone wrote one beforhand!!!)... Paul |
