I actually put this together sometime last year, but I forgot to make it publically avaialble on my website.

http://magicref.tripod.com/magref/doverbooksonmagic.htm

This is a listing of every Dover Book on magic that I could find. If there are any missing, I'd love to add them to the list.

A similar Canadian publisher is COLES publishing, but I haven't attempted to research them yet. One of the challenges is that Dover and Cole would sometimes change the title, even when the content of a book remained the same. Thankfully, for Dover at least, they usually put some text on the copyright page stating exactly what the source book was, but also what changes may have been made.

Enjoy!

I've updated the Dover Books on Magic page to include thumbnails of each of the book covers

http://magicref.tripod.com/magref/doverbooksonmagic.htm

This certainly makes the page more interesting to read. There are almost 100 Magic Books that Dover Publications, Ltd., has published over the years!

Enjoy.

What a great resource! Thanks for adding the cover pictures. Some of these change over time, but it is still very useful for quickly identifying a book.

This is great! Any chance you can make this table sortable? What about adding a column for people to upvote? This link might be helpful (http://janosgyerik.github.io/jquery-upvote/). Also, you can provide links to Amazon and get a referral payment. Might as well get a few bucks for all your hard work!

I've changed domain - the Dover page is now at: https://magicref.net/magref/doverbooksonmagic.htm

And sorry I didn't check back sooner - I didn't even see CasinoBoss's ideas until just now (3 years later)! Those were good ideas, but I'd rather just keep things simple for now.

As a tip, you can import Website tables in Excel or Google Docs Sheets, and then you can sort them any way you'd like.

In Excel, go to Data - Get External Data, and there is a web option. Type in the URL of the page that has the table you want to import. You might have to experiment a bit if there is other information on the page other than just a table.

The process is similar in Google Docs, and I think Libre Office can handle it as well - though you might have to search online to find out how as I think it's not intuitive.
