Best evidence,John Moore, Lizzie's mothers brother, was seen in the neighborhood that morning. He had rarely been in town. Wm, Borden Lizzie's illegitimate half brother, who also rarely came to town was seen leaving the house with an ax by two neighbors. Lizzie herself was at home, but
stated she was in the barn with the chickens. Her sister was sent away to visit relatives, for the first time in her life. Lizzie's father had promised to give her mother's old house to her half brother, Shortly before his death he was persuaded to give it instead to the parents of his second wife, who Lizzie despised. John Moore was not herd from again. Wm. Borden was seen around town for the next year, always carrying his ax, which he had begun talking to. He was visited one night by the police, he was found hanging from a limb, twenty feet off the ground; suicide. Elizibeth Borden was tried and acquitted, she signed over control of her fathers bank to the judge and the prosecutor.
One of the last living 10-in-one performers. I wanted to be in show business the worst way, and that was it.

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Since this thread has totally unspooled...
Did you know that Lizzie Borden really wanted to have a boyfriend? She met this guy in church and axed him out.

There is no doubt about it.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I miss the Tick cartoon. Have first editions of the entire original comics run in the basement

I only ever saw one issue, someone asked him for change and he reached into his pocket and gave him some... then spent the rest of the issue musing that he hadn't realized he had pockets!

Ben Edlund is a genius. He is also a gifted screen writer. Works on a lot of Joss Whedon's stuff

Back to the OP. Did Lizzie do it with whom?
