Steve Spill's new book, "I Lie For Money" will be released on May 12, 2015. It is a well edited version of his life...up to this point. And what a life he's had! He was a young, teenager when he befriended Dai Vernon, Charlie Miller, Slydini, Francis Carlyle, Kuda Bux, and many others. His father, Sandy Spillman, was the medium in the seance room for over a dozen years so young Steve got to come to the Castle in tow of his father. He later moved to Aspen to work with Bob Sheets at the "Jolly Jester" then they two of them later traveled to Chevy Chase, Maryland, where they opened, ran and performed at the "Brook Farm Inn of Magic". For over the past 15 plus years, Steve has operated and performed at "Magicopolis" in California.
Some of the stories for his new book are told in this week's podcast. He also shares some stories that are not from the book, but perhaps may be in an upcoming sequel. You can read the blog, see some photos, pre-order the book, listen to the podcast, and download the MP3 file at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwellsmagic/steve-spill Of course you can always get it through iTunes, Stitcher, TuneIn and Feedpress. Thanks for listening.
