Hi!
That is The Incredible Ring Thru-Hole. The Fantastic Effect. it was part of the Fantasma Magic Set. you may be able to get the set from a toy store as that is where it was marketed. I think it may have been created by Angelo Carbone... But I'm not sure on that!

This would be a wonderful item for Tenyo Elite or Magic Wagon to manufacture...

It reminds me of Crystal Cleaver, which I like more than the above (I think there is more "drama" in passing a sword through something. Were both created by by Angelo?

I just bought this trick and thought I'd broken it already LOL.

So question just to make sure I'm doing this right (don't want to break it for real): when I put the cover on and pulled on the string I felt like everything was "stuck" and didn't want to force it. Any help would be appreciated.

I think I have it working now - the only "problem" is the flap on the bottom doesn't sit all the way flat. It's hard to notice though. Just wondering if it's supposed to sit all the way flat.

OK, so update: I think I got it working. It took some practice. The bottom flap still doesn't lay all the way flat but I don't think it's an issue because the interior is dark. I do have to be careful not to let the bottom piece of green plastic flash, but that easily comes with practice and rehearsing the whole routine. I've shown this trick to family and friends and though isn't their favorite they do respond positively. A few pieces of feedback:

1. The notches into which the green plastic pieces get slid should be a different color in my opinion. It could easily be green IMHO. Black on black is not conducive to visibility. Makes the sliding it in part of the trick more of a pain.

2. Are replacements for the green pieces of plastic sold separately? I broke both of mine LOL.

3. Has anyone experimented with using borrowed rings instead of the washer that came with the set? This is related to #2 - I was using a big, thick, heavy ring and I'm wondering if maybe I wasn't properly compensating for the size of the ring, causing me to break the plastic.

In case anyone hasn't guessed this, I enjoy performing this trick greatly.
