I concede that Leonard did fight a prime Hearns, and for that and for the fights in the early days of his career I respect him greatly. But I do not hold him as one of the all time greats.
As for the drug testing issue, Pacquiao agreed to drug testing initially, then Mayweather, when he saw that the fight might go ahead, asked for non-standard testing. That is when Pacman said no. As I would have too in the circumstances.

Mayweather's been bouncing around as about a 2-1 favorite.

I don't think the final odds will be too far from that, though.

If you want to lay almost 3-1, you can bet that the fight will go more than 11.5 rounds, which I thhink is a good bet.

I have Mayweather by decision (-140), over 11.5 rounds (-280), and a little on the draw (+1600).

I'm hoping Pacquiao knocks him out. If he does it will be one of my favourite alltime boxing outcomes.

Sounds like one of my dream fight discussions...someone said, "Who would you like to see Muhammad Ali fight in his prime?" I said, "Antonio Margarito."

5.5-1 odds on a Pacqiao knockout.
Interestingly, the odds are exactly the same on a Mayweather knockout. If it goes 12, Mayweather considered much more likely to win a decision, but they're considered equally likely to win inside the distance.

Lol. That would be a great fight. I'd call it the battle of the underhanded corner men.

Back in the day, I thought it sad that Larry Holmes was denied the level of competition that defined the preceding generation.

I also agree. I loved Holmes in his prime. I enjoyed the Cooney fights but would like to have seen Holmes against some others.

I think he would have matched up well with Frazier and Ali. Foreman, I think, would have been a tough one. When Holmes got tagged, it was usually with those overhand rights.

Wow- Holmes vs. Frazier. Can you imagine?
I think Frazier wins this but man what a fight. I definitely think Holmes beats Tyson. Foreman is tough to call. |

A Holmes-Frazier fight (or series) would have been epic, with no outcome off the table. I could see either fighter winning by decision or inside the distance. In a 3- or 4-fight series, I think they'd each have at least one result in the win or loss column. Mostly likely outcome I'd take, though, it Holmes on points, like Ali-Frazier II. But they could fight a trilogy and there wouldn't be a boring round.
